Caring with Love and compassion will always be my goal in this field. Since I was a little girl I helped take care of my great grandmother. Fast forward to 1990, I knew I wanted to be of help and I made it to CNA school to get Certified! I started w/ Nursing/ Rehab in California and finally moved back to Hawaii to be closer to family. There I started helping out w/ taking care of Family and eventually started working for Agencies. One thing I know w/ having to work both Facilities & Homes, it's both rewarding. Difference is Time & Quality of Care! Facility definitely needing to manage Time/ Quality for each patients. Home Care is best for Patient. Time & Quality of Care is much appreciated both by Patient & Caregiver. I would like to extend my Time to other's in need. It will be a pleasure to be of assistance in this trying time. Hard working individual that has a passion for helping others. I love working as a caregiver and helping those who are around me and all over the world. I do mission work in Haiti where I work with elders and children in the poorest of conditions. My work at a long term care facility has allowed me to have bounds with elder individuals, which has been one of my greatest joys! I am personally proud of my work in Haiti with those who have nothing, but continue to have a smile on their face and the greatest of joys for the Lord. I graduated from Schoolcraft Colleges nursing assistant program in 2015. I started working the same year, after taking my certification exam. I've worked in nursing homes,senior home health care, mental institutions, and hospitals. My certificates include medication technician, nursing assistant, CPR & first aid. I believe everyone has a calling and helping others is mine. This is the job, that gets me up in the mornings. It gives me purpose. I've been a certified nursing assistant for about 20 years and I really enjoy taking care of elderly and people that need my assistant I show great respect for them treat them the way that I would like to be treated and if they were my parents or grandparents I give them the dignity and respect that they deserve and make them feel special and proud. I just think that this is my calling to take care of elderly because I know that everyone can't do it and that it's not for everyone.
