I have always had a heart for caring for people but my passion grew stronger when my mother passed away. I love being able to help a love one with everyday living. There are many things that keep me interested in being a caregiver but the most important one is knowing even though I can't take care of my mother,I can be there for someone else's love one
Hello , my name is kendra I been a caregiver for over 6 years now and I love it . I love the people I have met and got a chance to take care and help out over the years . Why I started being a caregiver because I always loved to help out people in need and seeing the smile on their faces and their loved one because they know their loved one is in good hands and is getting that love and support they need . I'm a very outgoing person and love to see everyone around me happy , I don't like to sit in one spot I always move around because it's always work to be done . One of my personal achievements is motivating that client to do something they think they cannot do because they either think their too old or just because they have a disability. My motto is to never give up just keep going and you'll be surprised what all you can do that you thought you wouldn't be able to do .

I learned at a young age that I truly loved people and "doing" for them. I believe that was the reason I was so successful in our hospitality business. Meeting all types of personalities and caring to their needs was always my pleasure. I have gravitated to the elderly for more years than I can remember. Perhaps because the businesses we (my husband & I had) catered to were mostly retired clientele. What I enjoy most is knowing I am making a positive difference in the life of the individual I have been entrusted to care for and watch over. I am proud of the fact I have developed many long lasting, loving relationships with people I have met throughout my life time. I am a good friend and listener and I deeply love my life, family and friends and I am most grateful for the many wonderful opportunities I have experienced.
I am 68yr of age female, have worked in healthcare for 30 yrs, as a Respiratory Care practitioner, had to leave my job to take care of sister who was at home ill. I like taking care of elderly people, It was rewarding to assist my sister at home, thats when I considered becoming a caregiver.
I consider myself a great caregiver being I really enjoy helping others,. Im a very compassionate person who love meeting and working with others. I enjoy seeing the smiles on people faces after I've helped them with a situation or a task that they may have not been able to complete alone. Ive became a caregiver for my mother who at the time was fighting liver cancer,. I cared for her three years before she lost that battle. It pushed me more to wanting to help others.
The most thing I enjoy about being a caregiver is putting a smile on every person face I come in contact with . It takes a special person to become a caregiver . Most people do it for money , but I do it because I LOVE meeting new people and LOVE to see people happy . I am proud to be that special person . My aunt was recently diagnosed with dementia and it hurt to see a loved one go through something so difficult. I can be that person to brighten your day and your loved one day also . You can count on me !!!
My name is Joyce, I came into this profession because my mother was a caregiver when I was young. I watch her and how she enjoyed helping others. As I grew and went on my on I tried several different jobs, but none have brought me satisfication than helping others. In 2008 is when I started my life long journey of taking care of others. I started with my parents, stayed with them full time until they laid down to rest. After 2013 my mom fell asleep in death and I went back to school and started my career in caregiving. Now I have a son and it helps me to set an example for him, because he watches me being kind and helpful to other.
