I am 47 years old. I am a mother of 6, with the youngest being 20. I am also a "Mimi" to 5 and have two rescue kitties and a big-personalitied pug named Lola. I lost both my parents young and in losing them I feel a deeper appreciation for generations older than mine and the historic and generational knowledge they hold. Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, no matter what age, and watching my father not receive the care he deserved as a disabled veteran further fuels that desire. I've cared for students age birth thru 21 with special needs for 20 years and am looking for new adventures!

I am a Physical Therapist who is changing the direction of my career. I want move outside of my PT career but continue to develop relationships with my clients and help them maximize their quality of life by providing the care they need. I have worked with most medical issues, including dementia, for many years in every setting, from hospital to skilled nursing to Homecare and have helped with toileting, feeding and all aspects of mobility. I love to have fun and find that humor and compassion make people enjoy being with me and get the most out of our time together. And I have to mention- I am a huge animal lover so any pet in the home is a bonus to me! I look forward to meeting you and providing your loved one with safe, loving and dependable care.

I first became a caregiver because I felt something was missing from my work and studies. I enjoy supporting and encouraging others with disabilities. I am most proud of mentoring those in the jail system, which lead to me self-publishing a book.

My name is Kadisha. I am a veteran from the Air Force Reserve. Before that, I was an Administrative Assistant for 7 years at various facilities, privately owned by a family. During that time, I put in volunteer hours with the activities' staff to ensure the residents had plenty of activities to fill their days. I currently work at a hotel in Boone as a Front Desk Reservationist. I work primarily mornings but cover evening and overnight shifts occasionally. I've always had compassion for caring for others as if they were my own family. I like the fact that I can provide companionship and care to someone I can also listen to and learn new things from. As far as my experience goes, I would say I've also had 7 years experience in caregiving, due to the fact that I've worked in a setting in which the elderly reside and were at times, asked to assist in a capacity outside of my job description, i.e. accompanying someone to the restroom or assisting with a wheelchair transfer. I never minded either of these things because they were always needing to be done in order to help someone. A personal achievement that I am very proud of, is serving my country. That was something I always thought of doing and I finally did it. Once I joined, I knew that I could do anything. I could put my mind, skills and what I've learned from the military into any and every aspect of my life!

I am a student at ASU studying to become a neurosurgeon. I enjoy helping those who are unable to get help due to family issues or cost of treatment through hospitals. My father was a Vet and I started helping him at a young age after losing his leg in Iraq. I pride myself on my work and my ability to keep the family I am helping happy with my services.

i became a caregiver because i love people in general. i mostly like elderly people. i care for them like my parents. i like to take of people and be kind to them. i was the nursing aid of the year. I am compassionate , loving , caring, and sweet. i am a very happy and i warm person.
