Personality traits: I try to put myself in the other person's shoes. I am a person of the highest integrity and dress in a professional manner. I know how to balance empathy and caring in such a way that as I care for the body, the mind and soul feels cared for as well giving a sense of comfort in knowing everything's going to be alright and they feel safe and secure. The thing that attracted me to being a care giver is, I like to "Help" people. I'm interested in the wisdom an elderly person has. I enjoy being a caregiver because helping others puts a smile on their face knowing they are safe and secure in my care at maybe their most vulnerable state. One personal achievement I am proud of is being excepted into the 2019 Strathmore's Worldwide Who's Who in my occupation as a Health Care provider. I have 15 years prior experience as a NA11. I've worked in agencies with Home Health and Hospice and in a skilled nursing facility. I have experience with every aspect that it takes to care for your loved one with over 20yrs. In all. The one thing that makes me a great care giver is I listen to their needs not my agenda and I love what I do.
I Am not just getting started as a provider, I have been caring for aging seniors in residential and facilities for 15 years. I am committed to delivering superior personalized care. I believe in satisfaction and morale. Also committed to maintaining an at home, family like environment for seniors whose families are unable to provide at home care. I will get to know their needs , dislikes and comfort level and make certain their health and safety is not compromised. My passion for caring for seniors started with caring for my mother in-law that was diagnosed with dementia and I cared for her from 1996 -2006. I still miss her because she was like a 2nd mother to me.
What makes me a great caregiver is my eagerness to help others restore what they've lost by guiding them and redirecting. I became a caregiver not only because I had an elements in my life where I wasn't able to do for myself but because I no what it's like to not be able to perform certain tasks that i use to do. What I like about being a caregiver is the reward feeling I get when making someones day and those to words thank you A personal achievement that im proud of was when I didn't think I could finish and achieve my associates degree as a medical assistan with everything that was going on around me.

My personal achievement to be proud of is when I saved a dialysis client after encountering a traffic cop while transporting him to the dialysis clinic. My homecare company gave me the "Silent Achievement Award" for doing the best job but at the same time being silent.
I have a calling & passion for serving those in need; especially the elderly population. My ongoing mission is to help them with continuum of life care; their way, not mine. I'm committed to advocating and promoting their wants and needs on an individual basis. I've been a caregiver; predominantly in the private in home sector for over 30 years, and look forward to many more because I am thoroughly committed to providing & maintaing a safe, positive and stress free environment for each aging client I purposefully love to be with and care for.
I am a caring mother of three a girl 20, two boys 19 & 11 years of age. I have a total of 19 years of experience of which I have been certified 9 years. I love being a caregiver for many reasons; I am a very trustworthy and reliable caregiver; I don't like to see people suffer or struggle to do something they used to love to do, that's where I come in to give a hand; I love to learn new things in different areas, I am a very loving, caring person and I put myself in one's situation to assist. At the end of the day, I am proud of myself when I see a smile on one's face for what I have done for them.
I started out in a privately owned Assisted Living in 2003, not needing my LNA. During my first year there, I fell in love with taking care of others. I went back to school and got my LNA license in 2004 (NH requires you to be licensed). I enjoy serving our seniors by helping them lead full and productive lives each day. Their needs are always put before mine, I like to focus on quality of life. My personal achievement would have to be moving to another state and challenging my skills to take the test and get my CNA here in NC in 2010. I also took the state test to become a medication tech in 2016. I feel that I can adapt easily to any environment and can work very well with others. It is said, that I have an out going personality and am courteous to everyone. I am 41 yrs old, met my husband when I was 19. We had a son, who is now 21, got married in 1999 and had our daughter, who is now 18. We are from NH. Moved to NC a little over 8 yrs ago and love it here. To have a career that makes a difference in peoples lives. Meeting and interacting with individuals that you sometimes normally would not get the chance to. While working at a assisted living facility I performed CPR on an elderly woman who was choking during dinner. Afterwards she told me how thankful she was and her family wrote a letter stating how grateful they were. The company also expressed their gratitude for what I'd done. I am an understanding, kind, and fair person who does not mind helping people from different cultures and back rounds .That's just how I was raised.
