I have assisted clients with bathing and other personal care needs. I have also prepared meals and performed housekeeping duties on a regular basis. My experience includes Dementia care, along with other serious mental health issues. Several years ago, I attended a Practical Nursing program at a technical school in my hometown.
why i'm a great care giver because I have a heart for it, an a great compassion for caring for people. an when I do something I do it right, I like being a caregiving because I can show my love and caring for others n giving the care and respect that patients deserve. I also want to be a caregiving because I lost my daughter last year and I have a lot of love to give away an when I do a job I do it right. For me its not about the money its the love and respect you give one another.
I care about people. I am a people person. I have the client's best interest at heart. I had worked for Transylvania Regional Hospital for nearly 15 years when the economy forced them to lay off 38 of us aides who were "Home Health Aides" out in Transylvania and Henderson counties. I was a prn aide, working an average of 10 to 30 hours per week, depending on the need of TRH. I cared for a variety of patients around both counties. My duties included total patient care, including baths, skin care and monitoring, taking vital signs, monitoring blood sugar, meal preparation, light housekeeping and grocery shopping. I have a reputation of being compassionate, caring, honest and dependable. I would encourage you to call TRH Home Care office for a referral (828-883-5254). I am looking for prn work. As I, also, am a senior citizen and participate in church activities, I choose not to work either Wednesday nights or Sunday mornings. I would be grateful for this consideration in hiring me.
I have over 6 years of caregiving experience. I have worked in various places like Hospitals, Nursing homes and in home care. From 1999 to 2005 I was a Certified Nursing Assistant and went to a 2 year college to get my Associates degree in nursing, however due to hardships I did not finish and get my degree. I took a break from nursing for over 10 years to pursue a different career in retail Management. I just recently within the past year decided to get back into care giving/nursing.
Hi my name is Chelsea and I'm am 25 years old. What attracted me to be a caregiver is every since I was little I have always loved helping and taking care of people. My mother and grandmother were both CNAs and loved what they did. I went with them sometimes when they went to work and seeing the smiles on their clients faces when they walked in the room made my heart smile and I have loved it every since. I work currently with adults with intellectual, mental and physical disabilities and I absolutely love it.
I am an upbeat, hard working individual. Very attuned to the needs and emotions of others. Flexible and can easily adapt to a new environment or situation. Patience and kindness are things I make sure to express in my interactions with others. I hope to bring joy and laughter into the lives of those I touch. It does my souls good to care for those who struggle to care for themselves.
I have always been passionate about home health work because it allows seniors to stay in the home they spent their life building. I enjoy doing things out doors, I like to take my patients on walks (it able) around outside, or just to sit and the porch and soak up the sun. I have found in previous patients just that simple act is such a treat to the elderly who are home bound.
