I have an innate sense of selflessness and empathy is embedded in my personality and I am good listener.I am a compassionate, honesty, reliable person that care about people. I have been working in the personal care profession for several years. I decided to become a caregiver because I enjoy providing care to people of different ages. It gives me great satisfaction to know that I am helping someone and this job enables me to make a difference in the daily lives of my clients. My client misplaced her money I helped her to find it and put it in a secure place, she was concern that she would forget where she put her money. She speaks five languages, so I told her choose one of the language and write it down on a piece of paper and put on the refrigerator. She was very grateful that I helped her to solve her problem and I am very proud that I was able to help her.

Under NYS Law and vested licensure, I am an Advanced Home Health Care Professional, who owns several years of home health care experience. By the same token, I am personable, and I ascribe to graciously delivering, the elite or sincere assistance to those who need help. I am known for my ability to teach others, and have a lot of patience for most individuals. With that said, I strive to serve and meet all challenges that unfold in the caregiving environments. This ability is refined through an adept ability to locate information which heightens, positive - outcomes in caregiving sectors. In keeping with any question of my qualifications, alongside, why I chose to work in the home health care profession. My simple answer is, just imagine for a moment, lacking critical - assistance to maintain health, and not being able to obtain sincere and timely support. Truly a scary situation! Especially if one lives in a remote area, far away from places which prevent consequences from ill health. Hence, my increased focus is serving populations, with unmet needs in home -health care contexts. Plus, given efforts brings back memories of joy. What is one such moment? The most enjoyable moments to date, emerges from the joy that comes from clients being able to enjoy home cooked meals. Meals which I am able to prepare. Here is an illustration. A former client of mine, remarked, "You take care of me, as if we were related," to which she added the age old question. "Why do you do all the things you do for me?" To which I reiterated, an ability , mine, of being able to relate within my imaginings , of a person who lacked Home health care support. Finally, In terms of a most memorable achievement, it would have to be assuming my collaborative place as a CareLinx Home Health Care Professional. http://linkedin.com/in/althea-a-walters-mph-26690b27

The first thing about being a great caregiver is to listen to your client and to be patient at the same time your patience will always be comfortable talking to you I became a caregiver for my grandmother that open the door for taking care of others one of the things that I enjoy most about being a caregiver is how exciting your client feels when you come to see them it's almost like two friends having tea and challah bread one of the things that I achieve in the work that I do is how I'm able to communicate with my clients even if it is a hospice care I take great pride in what I do and I always remember getting sick and aging can happen to anyone you're not above it so you treat people with respect and hope for the same when it is your turn.

since young I told my granny I would take care of her when she got older. As she got older she forgot alot sometimes even my name calling me other grandchildren name but she always reminded me that I told her I would take care of her and would ask when was I coming to stay with her. Not wanting to leave NY yet I kept telling her "granny im coming don't worry, il be there soon." Until soon never happened because I took time for granted selfishly thinking she had years more to live. Beating myself up for not fulfilling my promise I made a promise to myself that although I never made it to physically take care of my granny I will make it my duty to help someone elses in any way possible. I have a big heart and caring nature as you may see from my work experience children and elders have a soft spot in my heart. Since i made that promise in 2014 i have been successfully accomplishing it. Knowing someone is depending on me to make their day better makes me full of joy.
