I love helping while growing I growup with my grandmother and I used to help her so when I grew I decided to go for CNA class so that I can inquire more knowledge. Am patient, caring, loving, Honest, active and very strong. I have 2 years pay experience working with seniors. Have worked as HHA, CNA AND PCA. I gained/ Learned alot from seniors because they know alot of things, learned to be patient, loving and am very proud

Actually, I am a Registered Nurse. Characteristics: dependable, honest, independent, optimistic, hard-working, encouraging, a problem solver, a good listener and communicator. I became interested in health care when I was 10 years old and in the hospital over Christmas having had an emergency appendectomy. My mom worked for a doctor (earning $1 an hour) and was always telling us about interesting cases and teaching us strange sounding medical terminology. Most of my nursing career was in a Medical Intensive Care Unit at Ohio State University Medical Center. After that exciting career, I started working in Home Health in 2008. I enjoy working 1 on 1 with my clients, offering encouragement, seeing that they are receiving proper care, and hearing their life stories.

I am going on my third year of college, and my third college as well. I am finishing up my surgical nursing degree at Marion Technical College with a Surgical Technician certification and a phlebotomy certification as well. I have spent time in caring for my grandmother while she was in and out of the hospital, and I will provide compassionate care to those who need. My job as a future nurse is to provide comfort and love to patients varying different health conditions. My ideal job profession in the future is to work in hospice as well. When I was younger, I had a heart disease and my life-long goal is to give back to nurses and patients with 110% passionate and sympathetic care.

Everyone has a calling in life... Mine is the the compassionate care of others. I love to help others when they are having trouble helping themselves. I believe that people need to be treated with compassion and respect regardless of their condition. My experience has proven to me that I have patience and empathy to provide the care and love required to be a great care giver. I am punctual and dependable so there is never any worry if I am going to show up or not. I consider myself a good cook and maintain a clean home. I am capable of running most home health care equipment. I am also very capable of dealing with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and hospice. I manage a facility that is rated a 5 star home for 4 years in a row by the state. About me personally; I have been married to my husband for 30 years and we have a 16 year old daughter. We have lived in the same house for 22 years so you might consider me a very stable person. I enjoy working outside in my flower beds, church activities, and my daughters sporting events.

For me, being a caregiver isn't just a career. It's my calling in life. I feel as though it's what I was put here to do. My very first job at age 18 was as a caregiver for a lady with MS. I cared for her as a live in for nearly three years with one day off weekly. I then moved to direct care for disabled individuals and have accumulated several years experience. I am certified in first aid/ CPR, medication administration, insulin trained, and have a wide path of experience to fall back on. I was also caregiver for my mother for five years until she passed from ALZ. I am currently attending college studying Human and Social Services to better provide for those I work with and for. I believe that being a caregiver requires a special individual, just as special as those I care for. I have always felt that the individuals I have met and worked with have each been a blessing in their own way and I am the lucky one for having them in my heart and life. I view my clients as family, nothing less. I am dedicated, sincere, patient, full of good humor, not easily upset, and my greatest joy is making others happy. That's the biggest benefit of all. I honestly Love this line of work, compassion and dedication is my expertise, I have worked for a couple of company's and also have went independent with clients , This has been my passion for ten plus years and look to further my career and education working to become a CNA .

Being a caregiver has been very rewarding in knowing I am able to make others feel good in their daily lives with assistance of daily living. They feel secure which makes me feel good and proud to assist. I have alot of compassion and heart for anyone.

I became a caregiver after seeing friends do it. I knew I had what it took to care for patients/residents in any way they needed it. I have all the qualities of a great caregiver. I have experience with different kinds of disabilities and conditions. I love doing these things and insuring all of my patients are cared for to the fullest. I am now certified to give meds after completing classes!

Hello! My name is Emily Thornton, I am 20 years old. I have lived most of my life in Delaware, OH. Since I was little, I have enjoyed working with older adults. I enjoy listening to the stories they have to tell. Being a caregiver has been amazing - I have worked with many wonderful clients. Through my work and educational experience, I have gained a lot of knowledge about older adults and the needs they have. In the future, I would like to be a social worker for the aging population.
