First I am a mother of four so being a caregiver is just a natural instinct to me. I been taking care of mentally challenged individuals for over 15 years now. What I love about being a caregiver is just knowing I'm making a difference in someone's life helping them live a comfortable life. I love seeing my clients happy. The one personal achievement that I am proud of that may sound small but with this individual it was a health concern of mines he ate his meals really fast all the time what I did day by day was sat with him while he ate and prompt him to eat slower with every bite he took it took some time but now he eats slower and enjoys the taste of his food.

Im a home health aide i deal with my brother right now cause he got shot so now i take care of him but i need few more morning shifts i like bein around other people n helpin somebody thats in need.

What makes me an great caregiver is that I genuinely care for my people and love what I do. Ive been in his field since 2013 starting off as an home health aide to later become an STNA. What made me get into this field is as a child I always assisted my grandmother helping her with medication reminders and errands. I overall love helping others it's makes me smile inside and outside knowing I can make an positive impact on someone's life by assisting them with their ADLs and being there for them giving them the care and respect that they deserve.

Caregiving is not a job, it's a passion! When I first learned about the healthcare field , I jumped in head first and never looked back. Seeing my clients smile is my number one goal! I'll be right there! It warms my soul to be apart of a company who allowed me to make sure nont only our elders but, the disabled, and now I've started my independent journey. The best part about it is making my own schedule only because working with an agency can become a big scheduled mess, call offs left and right, showing up to upset clients wasn't my thing.
