Growing up as a child I always wanted to be a nurse.I would always play doctor and nurse caring for my little friends.As I got older I followed my passion which is patient care ,and enrolled in a nursing program.I am a CNA,CPR Bls certified with over 8 years of caregiving experience in the vicinities of home,nursing homes also hospitals.I love to give back to others by helping and caring for them or even making myself available.

I love being a Caregiver because I have a passion for putting others first. Seeing someone with an intellectual disability able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life is enough to make it all worthwhile. In essence, it's about making small changes to your everyday life to make major beneficial changes to someone with an intellectual disability. Seeing them respond to their new environment - and the care and love that shapes it - provokes a feeling that must be experienced to be believed. And there's simply no reward quite like watching the smile emerge and hearing their laughter. I've being a caregiver for more then 10 years now. I used to volunteer for nursing home and other activity when I was in the age of 19 so that's how i was encouraged to become a caregiver. I love to socialize,read, swim,meet new people and play sports.

I'm a caregiver who is honest dependable never late for work, I love what I do I take passion in caring for my clients. I have been a care giver for 37 years. I became interested in being a caregiver when a lady ask me for help she told me that she was not able to bathe herself. which I did help her and did not take any money from her she thanked me. So after that I assisted her with her care when I could and helped her to find more help. that is when I decided that this is what I wanted to do. I like seeing their faces when they get the help that they need just seeing that smile on their face is priceless. My personal achievement that I'm so proud of. I worked with this lady who wanted to work part time I found her a job which she had to volunteer for a week to see if she was able to do the work. I assisted her showing her what she needed to do. after 3 days she was offered the job I was so proud of her. she worked part time at the job and later was offered a supervisory position.

Hi, my name is Cassandra but everyone calls me Cassie! I have helped take care of my grandfather, who has had dementia for over 10 years. When I moved away to school last fall, I began working as a direct care worker for a company, but found that I like private home healthcare better. My time with the two families I helped while away at school was amazing, and I was sad to leave them when I returned home for summer break. I have worked extensively with dementia patients, and I have experience with patients who have MS. I am very compassionate, patient, and hardworking and I truly care about the people I help. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that each person I help teaches me something new, and I love hearing their stories and learning about their lives.

I took a health class dedicated to caregiving in just highschool so that I can achieve my dreams faster. I currently am enrolled into a class to review my CNA to further my career more into the health field. Then eventually I want to become a RN, LPN after many years of experience. My greatest strength as a caregiver is the sincere compassion that I will devote to your loved one. My first experience in geriatric care came when my grandparents became ill and required a hospice nurse. Taking on that role allowed me to develop an intimate understanding of the personal needs of my patients, foremost among them being the dignity and respect with which I believe every human being has an inherent right to recieve throughout the later stages of life. I was honored to help facilitate a hospice plan that allowed my grandparents to live and ultimately pass away in the home that they shared together, regardless of their advanced illness. I am proud to say that I am staunchly committed to bringing the same level of dedicated quality of care to all of my patients. I treat each individual under my care as if they were my own family, and pledge to do more than simply attend to their physical and ambulatory needs - I always ensure that my charges are given attention and conversation; kept engaged in activities and pastimes that they enjoy in order to promote a happy and fulfilling lifestyle in spite of their individual limitations. Working with the elderly is a constant reminder to me that there's no acceptable reason that people shouldn't be empowered to live well and retain as much independence as possible as they age.
