I give quality care to my clients. I'm always on time, never late. Very reliable. Been a CNA for 26 yrs. Because we all belong to God, and he wanted me to take care of his people. I like being a caregiver because i'm helping others that need help that can't help themselves much anymore, and they need someone there to assist them with the things they can't do anymore like they used to. My personal acievement that i'm proud of is that i've been a CNA for 26 yrs helping others for a long time now. I'm very proud of that accomplishment.
I knew I wanted to work in home health care when I was 15. My grandma lived with us and I would help care for her, and since I wanted to help people and care for them. I was a certified pharmacy technician for 5 years and then decided i wanted to do more to help people so I went back to school get my Medical Assistant Diploma. I have also cared for my own family member who was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myloyid Leukemia).
My personality traits that make me a fantastic care giver is that I am honest kind respectful I take responsibility I am compassionate I have patience I adapt easily I am sympathetic and I love to help. What attracted me to caregiver is just being able to help other people who can't help there self not only that I took care of my grandmother for 2 years care giving is not for everyone but it's the perfect job for me. An personal achievement that I am proud of is my kids getting into this field and furthering my education in this field.
I have always since a little girl wanted to be a nurse. I started in elementary helping the I.U 13 classes with recess, bus, and gym buddies. In 1997 I took a 2 week course and got my CNA. In the past 22 years I have met a lot of different people in the nursing field. Some that can communicate verbally others can't. Some can show emotions others can't. I've worked for people my age, older and younger. I give the same care and respect to each one. Maybe showed a little more love to some that had no one else in there life. I love being a personal care assistant, I enjoy meeting new people and helping them progress in life. Even if its just getting ready for the day. I enjoy to see them smile.
I am a great caregiver because I treat my clients male, or female, as if he, or she, are one of my family members. No there's no limits to my care, I will always go above and beyond. I've changed a lot of live, I also have saved lives, with in the past fourteen years I've been in this field. I became a caregiver because of several family members are in the same field, my mom is an registered nurse, going on 35 years, my grandmother was a LPN, and my aunts are CNA. So it deep rooted, so to speak.
