My mother was an RN that owned a large senior day care that I grew up in, in her twilight years I became her caregiver so I've been on both sides of the 'caregiver' role, I know how hard it is to find a good match and how important dependability, honesty and a compassionate heart is. I became a caregivers when my grandmother became ill. Seeing progress, seeing faces light up when I walk in thee room, listening to past stories, their past, being able to help keep clients in there home and as much as possible independent. When you meet a client who just wants to give up and that perfect fit cna-comes along and gives that client hope and purpose to keep going. I love to help people. I'm a people person and I enjoy being needed. I laugh a lot and can be nervous but I warm up to people quickly. I also love animals and do well with dogs. My hobbies include art: painting/drawing, reading, writing, spending time with family/pets, cooking and taking walks in the park. I'm very proud of graduating highschool and how well I do in my career field. I also have obtained my CNA license and have my 80hr PCA class. I have my BLS certification as well.

I have a passion/ patience for taking care of the elderly. I started taking care of my own grandparents and thats when i knew my help was needed. I am very proud to say that with my 4 years working on a home health care, I believe I have reach a point where my resident/client is happy and comfortable with me around. I have become their perfect companion and buddy and that some treats me like a daughter. We shared laughs and respect for each other, making it more easier to give the utmost care for her. I had enough clinical experience and training as a student clinician and as a professional. Currently I am a CNA at Novant health Medical Hospital in Uptown Charlotte. I graduated from Pfeiffer University in May majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Coaching. I want to go to Graduate school and become a Physician Assistant and to do so, I need 5,000 clinical hours working with different patients. I like being a CNA because it is rewarding.
