The love I have for people whom can't help themselves what has help me to be a great caregiver from working in daycares to working in private homes with other love ones. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my family gave care for years I watched my mother work in nursing homes to private duty nursing as a little girl growing up to have a heart. My personality traits that help me be an excellent caregiver are; empathy, attentiveness, sense of humor and supportive. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was seeing how my mother took care of her mother when I was a little girl. Witnessing that instilled a desire in me to do the same for my own mother if and when she needs me in that way. My mother not only took care of my grandmother but she checked on the elderly, family or not, if someone needed help she was there and to this day presents the same urgency. I enjoy knowing that I am able to give someone relief and the assurance that they are safe and will be taken care of. A personal achievement that I am proud of is proving to myself that I am resilient when trials have been thrown my way.
