Everyday after school I would take care of my aunt and I truly valued every moment. When my aunt transitioned I decided that I wanted to help others have that companionship as well. I got a great opportunity to work with a 95yr old senior In 2012 . I my duties include bathing hygiene prepared meals. Ran errands took to doc appt. House keeping. Med reminder. She came part of family. She passed June 9 2016. 2 weeks before turning 99. I am also a kind and loving individual and make a great companionship to any age or gender.

Hi, My name is Starr and I began my career in caregiving for the elderly and disabled 3 years ago; before then I've taken care of babies and young children all throughout my life. I have been a CNA (certified nurses assistant) since July 2017 as well as CPR and first aid certified. I genuinely enjoy caring for others. I feel that my purpose in life is to serve and make my presence comfortable to be around. As a 23-year-old I have the compassion and energy to fulfill the needs of each person I assist. Working in assisted living, home health, and long term care, I have cared for up to 25 residents at a time in assisted living and an average of 15 residents in long term care. My duties have included: laundry, serve and assist snacks and meals, housekeeping, activities, bathing, transferring, and general adl's (activities of daily living). I do have experience with people who have dementia and Alzheimer's. I have reliable transportation with insurance as well.

I was a full time caregiver for my grandfather for 4 years. He was wheelchair bound due to his dementia by the time he passed. Completely comfortable with all personal,medical & household needs that are to be done.

I became a caregiver because I love to help people. Adults and Children. This is what I like best about being a caregiver, knowing that I have the ability to make someone's day a little better, make someone a little happier. I am proud of getting my CNA and Adult& Pediatric/CPR/First Aide/AED and I also took a Nurse Extender Course and got signed off to take out IV's, take out Catheter's, take Blood Sugars. I have also worked with people on oxygen. I am a single mom, my daughter is my world. She is turning 12 years old in Aug. I worked at the Parents Morning Out Daycare at my Church for almost two years. My skills are: I can give bed bathes and help with showers, change linens, help feed the patient, help the patient when he or she needs to go to the bathroom, hair care, dental care, I can also help with transporting a patient, I can chart patient's records or information on any kind of computer, I speak some Spanish and type about 15 to 20 words a minute.
