I love what I do. If you don't love what you do your not going to serve the individual adequately. I am a very honest, empathetic and a very patient person when it comes to serving others. As being a caregiver each individual that you have the pleasure of serving, you must make sure that each individual knows that their respect and dignity is at the forefront of me serving them. Serving others in need is what attracted me to being a caregiver. It gives me a genuine sense of joy knowing that I'm able and willing to being that helping hand. Everyone is not built to be a care giver and there are caregivers that are not there for the right reasons. I love seeing the look of gratitude on families faces when they see and know that their love ones are being taken great care of and it's done with Love!! Working on getting my Residential Assistant Living Facility license.
1. I became a caregiver because I am naturally drawn towards helping others. 2. I like being a caregiver because I am earning a living by making someones life easier, which makes me feel I am doing a job that has meaning and is worthwhile. 3. A personal achievement I'm proud of is when I became a mother. 4. My other passion is natural health.
I have been providing care giving assistance for more than 10 years. I started from taking care of my mother when she became critically ill by providing bathing and grooming, cooking her meals, and driving her to her doctor's appointments and other engagements. Taking care of her for 3 years turned into a career choice especially after seeing her go through her pain, difficulty, and inability to manage her daily life without assistance was heartbreaking. After she passed away I decided I wanted to continue helping and assisting elders to alleviate and make it easy for them to live and manage their daily life, and activities for a more satisfying and happy life. My experience ranges from companionship, to assisting with activities of daily living, providing transportation, maintenance of vital signs, hospice care assistance, dialysis support, and caring for Alzheimer's and dementia, COPD, and Parkinson's disease.
I love to provide personal care for my clients, assisting with daily living activities e.g bathing, dressing, grooming etc. I love to provide service for who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness or disability. It my passion for been there for them when they need me.
I am a very caring and dependable person. Although I haven't been working in this field for too long I am very dedicated to my job and take great pride into being a caregiver. I love meeting new people and learning about them as well as learning new things so I am very open minded. I would love to take care of your loved one and to soon become a friend.
I LOVE PEOPLE!!! I love caring for them! I spent a few years working as an EMT so I have Emergency Medical training as well as caregiver experience. I have been in college for the last 6 years and recently obtained my Masters Degree in Divinity (Biblical Study) and Christian Counseling. I am currently working on my PhD. I have been a licensed minister for 4 years and my last job was a Hospice Chaplain which I feel is my true calling in life. The reason being a caregiver also works for me is that I find that many of my clients are in the last years of their lives, and I enjoy being able to talk with them and help them and their family members with acceptance and ability to get things in order, such as working through their fears, problems with unforgiveness, and their spiritual condition. I don't preach to them, I listen and allow them to make their own decisions about their life. I may make suggestions, pray with them or for them if they desire, but never try to push my beliefs on them. I want to help them be at ease and comfortable in every area. I love the wisdom of the elderly and have learned so much from my clients. I have raised 6 daughters and 1 son, who is 15 now. I have 8 grandchildren that I adore. My husband and I have been married for 34 years. I guess that being a mom and a wife really puts my care giving experience at 34 years instead of just a few. I can provide excellent references and am trustworthy, dependable, cheerful, and compasionate.

Before doing personal care professionally I went through the nursing program but dropped out a semester and a half shy of finishing the program and then pursued massage therapy and received my license caring for special needs children. My personal caregiving journey started when my aunts had breast cancer and mother had a stroke and needed assistance. I am happy to help with social support (I enjoy being around my elders). My skills and prior experiences include caring for family members since I was a little girl to caring for an ALS client who was wheelchair bound, needed PEG-tube feeding, and breathing assistance as well as massage therapy. Other duties I do include helping with gait and balance, light meal prep, medication administration and management, driving family and clients to their appointments and managing/organizing their computer, and on some cases providing massage therapy. On a personal side, I love photography, reading books, movies, music, fishing, learning and exploring.

I love working with people. I like the the wisdom elderly clients have to offer me. I started out caring for my mother back in 1994.
