I became a caregiver because I grew up with my grand mother. I like being a caregiver having a strong belief in importance of companionship and support in pt care. I am a proud of my job because I performed direct pt care aimed at increasing comfort, psycho , social, and spiritual well being .I am a certified nursing assistance with number years of experience.
Growing up being the oldest of 6 siblings I had to be the caregiver due to my mother working long hours as a nurse. In my adult life I've had many jobs but no fulfillment until I started caring for others. I found my purpose and calling. I truly enjoy/ love being a caregiver it brings so much joy and self gratification. My mother played a big part of why I love being a caregiver. seeing the love she gave and the return love was something not to mention I had to care for my siblings. To know that a client feels safe and trust me with their care means a lot. To see them smile or just help them through a rough day knowing that they can count on me is a great reward. I've had a client I had just started with ask me, Is this just a job or do you care? I care about what I do. This is one of the biggest question that a client or family member has when looking for a caregiver. I smile all the time, staying positive, go beyond the call of duty, compassionate, caring, outgoing, patience,. etc. To have the opportunity to care for your love one or self would be a privilege and a blessing.
I've always enjoyed taking care of people. I'm looking for a job that is challenging rewarding and will positively impact others lives. I am easygoing, a good listener and patient. This has helped me to provide quality care to my clients. I started out with an appreciation for this profession when my grandmother had Alzheimer's. Caring for her helped me realize how important companionship, empathy and kindness were.
My parents were both very involved with volunteering. I learned early on the benefits and rewards of being caring, kind and helping others. My mom lived in her own home until she recently passed away at 98. We had various caregivers for her over the years, and while some were wonderful, there were many more that were not. I treat people the way I would treat my own mother...with respect and dignity. I try to find what brings joy to whomever I'm caring for. Do they like to sing or be sung to, play cards, board games, go for a walk? I can help clean, make meals, get groceries, transport to and from Dr visits and hair appointments or just give a full time caregiver a break. I helped my mom with bathing, grooming and dressing and am willing to learn how you do things. I have a heart of gold when it comes to people who need a little extra help, especially the elderly. I'm reliable, patient, trustworthy and will always show up with a smile. I hope to hear from you....Denise Will also do evening checks after 5:30 p.m. I can make sure loved one has eaten dinner or I can make them dinner, taken medications, help them get ready for bed, take dog out, make sure doors are secured or just visit. Will stay a min of 3 hours @ $25 an hour. I will gladly give you references upon request. P.S. - I should also mention that I'm allergic to cats....sorry!
I'm a very patient and kind person. I love seeing people happy. Growing up watching my mom care for my grandmother is what really attracted me to be a caregiver. I enjoyed seeing my mom making my grandmother and other people that she cared for happy so I decided that I want to give the same happiness. I enjoy making people happy and getting to learn them. I would say my personal achievement is when I moved to texas.

I have an experience of about 8 years as a care giver, working with those with disability and Alzheimer patients both in Nursing Homes, Assisted Living and on individual Residence. I combined extra responsibility with compassion to take care. I am a Certified Nurse Aide with the state of Texas for over 8 years.
I am a compassionate caregiver who nurtures a heart of service. Growing up, I've always wanted to help people. After volunteering at an assisted living center and a Memory Care Residence, I realized I'd cultivated a passion for working with the elderly. I decided to take a job as a personal care assistant at Kindred at Home, and that passion has stayed with me since. One of the things I enjoy most about being a caregiver is getting to know my clients. I love listening to the stories they have and the lessons I learn from them. They lived full and wonderful lives. So I feel the least I can do is assist them in whatever they need to get done.
My personality are empathy and compassion, desire to help patience reliable and flexible .Growing up in a family of medical professionals I surely thought that one day I would become a caregiver after high school I became a caregiver in a facility it gave me the opportunity to help those who couldn't help themselves this is what prompted me to further my education by attending CNA schools while am working on become a nurse light now.
Helping others was always a big part of my life at a very early age. Being able to help seniors was a gift inside of me. I just wanted to help them so their life could be easier. Working as a caregiver, I enjoyed hearing all their stories and the wisdom they have. Helping them accomplish their goals was rewarding. Being able to connect with people & help others is what life is all about. I have worked with seniors twenty-five years. I have had my CNA certificate since 1994. Most of my experience have been working as a nurse tech. in the homes of my patients. The job duties are: Meal prep.& feeding, Personal care, Exercise program with patient, Toilet assistance, Med assistance, Dr. visits, Transfer & walking assistance, Daily vitals, Light housekeeping, Worked with patients with dementia, stroke, diabetes, wound care, blood pressure, cancer recovery, broken bones. Caregiving is the ultimate act of love. Caregiving changed perspective on life! My mother took care of my grate grandmother when I was little. She would let me help and it ment the world to me making them smile! My giving nature and my nurturing desire to help those in need is how I knew caregiving was for me. My greatest achievements are the moments I get. I have learned while my patient say they couldn't get through this without me, I am the one who gets the biggest gift of all! All my patients have enriched my life in many ways!
