I have about 15 years of experience in taking care of elderly in their private homes and in health facilities. I really enjoy this job because it allows me to express my passion to those who need love and care in their different situations. I am very hard working, competent, caring, reliable and honest.
I am a kind loving caring person who absolutely loves people. I love being a CNA and getting to be a little part of so many lives. I've always wanted to be a CNA but the cards didn't line up for me until a few years ago. I knew without a doubt when my grandpa got sick and I had to take care of him that this is what I had to do, it was definitely my calling in life. I'm a big hearted person who loves to take care of others.
I have been a certified nurses aide for about 9 years and my experience mainly includes working in a long term care facility, with some home health and private sitting jobs part time throughout the years. I am also a medication aide and have been for 5 years. I'm compassionate about what I do and hard working. I am currently taking prerequisite classes to apply to nursing school within the next two years to get my RN/ADN. I enjoy helping in a private setting because I'm able to spend the one on one time as opposed to in a facility you have to divide your time to ensure your job gets done.
I became a Caregiver because I feel like I am making a difference in someone's life. A smile, touch or words of encouragement can add so much to the life of a sick or elderly person. This kind of connection makes my job more than what it is and that gives me personal satisfaction. I like being a Caregiver because I enjoy meeting new people, and no 2 days are the same. I'm proud of graduating from CNA school at the top of my class and passing the state CNA class on the first try. I am married with 3 very active teenage boys. I enjoy being an active mom in their lives. Originally I am from Naperville, Illinois. My husband's company transferred to Fort Worth in 2008. I have had various other positions. Late summer last year was when I started my studes for my CNA career.
I WORKED IN HOSPICE FIELD FOR 25 YEARS. THE ONLY REASON I LEFT MY JOB WAS SO I COULD BE CLOSER TO MY FAMILY WHO I AM VERY CLOSE TO, I LEFT A GOOD STAFF, WE WERE A GOOD TEAM AND ALWAYS PRIDED ON BEING THE BEST OF THE BEST.
Ive had other jobs but I always come back to what I love the most. That is caring for the elderly. I give 110 percent to all my patients they come first. I love the time I spend with my patients but most overall is the story they tell you of their life growing up. I started being a cna in 1976 but cane to really love the elderly. The most achievements is knowing not only you come to know the family, but to have the family tell you what a wonderful job you did with that patients the love, passion you gave to not only the patient but the family as well. Im very passionate person and I love what I do. Im single 55 years old and grandma of six. Like I said I give 110percent to all my patients and im very hard worker.

Hi! My name is Dina I am 46. I have a grown daughter and 3 year old granddaughter. I live in the Alliance area. I was in international imports for 23 years. And just realized I was just burned out and needed a changed and I had always wanted to be in healthcare. So I went to school and I received my patient care technician license. I cared for a woman that had a traumatic brain injury. I cared for a quadriplegic war veteran for a little while and then a little girl that was 8 and she was special needs that literally required me to be no more that 3 feet from her unless she was napping and then I could do her meal prep, light housework, laundry etc I think after being with her with kids is where my heart is. The family I worked for had a 6 year old and we played games and had fun when able. I'm fun upbeat and can hang with the best of them well for a 46 year old.
