Retired RN with 30 years of nursing experience, currently working as client/advocate and caregiver for patients with dementia. My confidence derives from my thirty years of nursing . My experience as a RN included many years as a Critical Care Nurse and as a Casemanger for Medicare and Medicaid Agencys. My father had Alzheimer's so I do know how care for someone with this can be. I also currently work as an care giver and advocate for assisted living and private community homes . My minimum charge is 20 per hr for four hours or more with or 50 dollars two hour minimum . I am available for private sitting for hospital care . I graduated from Texas Christian University with a BSN in nursing 1984 Graduated from Harris Vocational School of nursing 1981. Worked as a LVN full time at Harris Hospital while attending TCU. Worked full time as a CNA at Kent's Nursing Center from 1978 to 1981 . While attending TCC to obtain Nursing prerequisites.
What makes me great, is the love, compassion, my loyalty to my clients and family. Everyone has a calling, a purpose in life. And for me is helping, giving and sharing with others. My biggest achievement is watching someone get their confident back and feeling that they are not in it by them selves. Sharing their smiles, laughter and even tears. Just to know they know someone really care.
I am a loving and caring person who has the heart and compassion of the people I work for. I also took care of Mr. Moncrief William Junior as a personal caretaker and Mrs.Bairds granddaughters I just enjoy what I do . My schedule is pretty much open except Sunday's. I will do mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnights.
I love being a caregiver. I have such a knack for it. The clients that I have had were so amazing and really took to me right off. I am very personable and have the wonderful gift of empathy. I am early retired from the RR due to being a two-time cancer survivor I was an accountant for many years. I really wanted a purpose and got into Care Giving and have realized I missed my calling :) I absolutely love when I make them smile and I especially love when I arrive you know they are happy to see me.
I am a great caregiver because I truly care about my clients. I chose this line of work because I Love senior adults! I love their stories and like to get to know them on a personal level and bond with them. Seniors are truly a joy to me! It is my personality to be a giver and i like to attend to others needs. It blesses me too bless others. I love to garden, and i really like animals. I have been a caregiver for over 4 years.
Personally I believe what makes me a great care giver is my caring and kind personality. I've dealt with many different cases and what I enjoy most either than caring for someone is making them a part of my family. I take pride and joy in being a caregiver because I never got a chance to have my own grandparents and in each case it's nice to get a chance to share each different experience with a client that either needs love, companionship, comfort or even a little help. My greatest achievement is honestly being able to still be caring, pateint and loving and treating each case personally.
I enjoy helping others.I do what im required to do and more.I take pride in being a caregiver because i am a very kind hearted, honest, responsible and hard working woman.I enjoy caring for others it is something i really love and enjoy doing.I know someday i will need help for others as well.So i treat others as i would wanted to be treated because our futures are not promised.Today i can do everything on my own tomorrow who knows.
I am a passionate and reliable caregiver possessing over 15 years professional experience. Committed to providing the highest quality care to the geriatric and disabled community. It brings great satisfaction to be able to maintain/sustain a degree of independence for clients, companionship and being able to provide a alternative care for clients in home. I became a caregiver from the advice of a uncle, who told me that I was a natural caregiver during the time of taking care of my grandparents. One of the most personal achievable things I'm most proud of in caregiving is maintaining skin integrity without any breakdowns or bedsores of any client.

Hello my name is Sela. I am a proud mother of 4. I have worked in the medical field for more then 15 years. I have always had a soft spot for caring for the elderly. My mother worked as a CNA and have always shared her love for caring for elderly it reminded her of her mother when she had to care for her. Since then I have always developed a soft spot for caring for elderly. After having the opportunity to start working with elderly my love and respect grows even deeper.
I have been a CNA since 2002, but I've done caregiving for more than 20 years. I really enjoy taking care of others. I feel like everyone deserves respect and to be treated as if they are your own family. I am up to date with CPR, and I am a licensed CNA. I can provide references if you would like.
Becoming a caregiver was my natural calling. I Became a CNA in 2010 to assist those who are not able to help themselves. I furthered my education and graduated 9/2012 from WCJC with my Vocational Nursing Certificate. I am a licensed nurse. I love my job, with all that it entails. I am patient, caring, honest, dependable, and loyal. I am looking into furthering my education in the near future and am seeking employment that is flexible with my schedule with children and school.
