What I like about being a caregiver is that it affords me the opportunity to use what I have, the skill, knowledge, experience coupled with love, honesty and integrity to help people in need. One personal achievement I am proud of is the completion of the NRCPT Phlebotomy Technician's certificate and yet, rather than sit down to do venipuncture, I chose to do what I like most--care for people. I have worked in various aspects of the healthcare system. Overseas, I worked as pharmacy technician, medical assistant and nursing assistant for eight years. Here in the United States I have taken care of different kinds of patients especially the geriatric population and those with Alzheimer's disease as a professional certified by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. I am very reliable, dependable and both a team player and team leader. I do my job with integrity and honesty. Moreover, I take the job personal in that I view the patient as if he/she was my father/grandfather, mother/grandmother, uncle/aunty.

I'm certified by the State of Texas as a CNA; I completed a 8-week training course at Houston Community College. I did a month of clinical at Treemont Assisted Living facility located in Houston, Texas. My duties were feeding, bathing, dress, and assist with mobility. In terms of your job requirements, I can cook, clean, and do laundry, lift, carry and transport items up to 30lbs. I've had the opportunity to work at Texana for 2 1/2 years as a House Parent during those exact duties.
