I have been raised by my grandmother and have been with her until she passed away. She has a hip replacement and I was taking care of her all the time and I loved doing it. That's why I become a caregiver,because I am a very compassionate person who is caring and very responsible. I love talking Care of people specially for the elderly and sick one. And wherever I went to work with, patient and their families really appreciate what I do and they let my employer know, and I was very proud of myself. why i chose to become a caregiver is a thing that i love doing and is inline with my goal in life, been a caregiver helps, teaches and build you up in caring for people and even in home, my achievement is understanding how to communicate with people in need most especially with older adults. 1) I love helping others and my grand mother told me I would make a great caregiver. I have always been a caregiver but I applied for a job one day and I have doing it every since. I have 21 years of caregiving experience. I had worked in skilled nursing facilities, currently working at a university teaching hospital and home health agency. In the hospital I work on different units such as mental health, rehabilitation, ICU and med surge units. I have certified nurses assistant and respiratory therapy certificates. I have 20 yrs.plus experience as a caregiver. I've worked in long term care facilities just as well in group homes, assisted living facilities, treatment centers caring for adults and children. I also do private sitting in homes and facilities, I'm also a home health aide . I currently have my C.P.R. certificate and I am available full time and part-time. I am currently enrolled in Collin Community College for nursing. I love helping people in need. I get a sense of happiness from it. My mom used to be a home health aide and my grandma is one as well.
