I am a certified home health care provider. My 22 years experience include taking care of individuals with mental and physical disability in their own homes. I also worked as a Training Specialist in a workshop setting, where we trained people with mental retardation and behavior problems in simple jobs that would generate income for them and keep them occupied. My duties included providing personal care, grooming, bathing, cooking, transportation, medication administration, and monitoring individuals for safety. My joy is derived from making an improvement in people's lives.

I give the upmost love and affection to my patience, which I don't consider patients but more like family. I truly believe this is my calling in life and unfortunately my most current patient has passed away so I have to find another avenue for my expertise. I have a wonderful husband and an amazing seven-year-old daughter and a very large family who are all very supportive. I have been involved in the community doing volunteer work and was raised in a very religious atmosphere.

I come from a family of 10 kids. My care giving started in my youth with my 6 siblings younger than me. I raised 3 sons. I have been a care giver all my life from newborn infants to 86 year old adults. I have a nurturing, natural, compassion, for giving and care to and for others.

My name is Joseph but I go by Gio. I'm currently a nursing student. I have worked for over 10 years in home care setting as well as at a hospital for 2 years. I did work for two years on and off with special needs children. In that time, I worked with a lot of different disabilities and conditions.
