What makes me great, is the love, compassion, my loyalty to my clients and family. Everyone has a calling, a purpose in life. And for me is helping, giving and sharing with others. My biggest achievement is watching someone get their confident back and feeling that they are not in it by them selves. Sharing their smiles, laughter and even tears. Just to know they know someone really care.
Personally I believe what makes me a great care giver is my caring and kind personality. I've dealt with many different cases and what I enjoy most either than caring for someone is making them a part of my family. I take pride and joy in being a caregiver because I never got a chance to have my own grandparents and in each case it's nice to get a chance to share each different experience with a client that either needs love, companionship, comfort or even a little help. My greatest achievement is honestly being able to still be caring, pateint and loving and treating each case personally.

Ive always had a passion for care taking. I took care of a long time family friend that was diagnosed with breast cancer until she passed away. I assisted her with bathing, doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, and exercising. Im currently now taking care of my father who has Rheumatoid arthritis and I assist him with the same things. I help my sister take care of my nephew with down syndrome when she goes on vacation. Everyone in my family says I'm the caregiver in the family because I love helping others. I've always wanted to go into the nursing field but never jump towards my dream.

In 2010 I received the award for Best Foster Parent, with my Agency. I also received one in 2011. It has been a passion with me since I was very young to help others. .
I have always had a so much compassion for the mentally challenged, elderly and disabled. They are all so special and deserve to have someone they can trust and depend on to take care of their needs. Caring for someone who needs my help brings me happiness, helps me find my own personal strengths and increases my own self confidence. Helping others in need, to me, is what this life is all about. Being a caregiver has taught me to value the present and what I do is making a real difference in someone's life. It is a privilege and an honor to serve these awesome individuals, because at the end of the day, it can be hugely rewarding knowing that you've helped make someone's life easier and better.
I have experience with trach and gtube patients because my youngest daughter is disabled she's almost 3 and requires all food and medications through her gtube. She is the reason why I want to be a caregiver, I want to help others and give back to those who need it. I love being a companion to the elderly, they have so many stories and there is so much to learn from listening to them.
