I became a caregiver because it is my gift. My professional career began 20 years ago in the healthcare industry. When I was 19 my husband suffered a massive stroke. I live in the Austin area and have immediate availability. While I am not CNA certified, I do have all the nursing experience as well as nutrition and personal training. What makes me a great caregiver is that I am able to relate to the needs of my clients base on individuality. I am very compassionate towards my clients. I try my very best to understand their needs and find a solution to it. I became a caregiver not only to help people who are at a disadvantage but rather because I care about people and enjoy being a part of their lives. For many years I've lived away from my father, but the moment I received a phone call that he had a stroke I dropped everything and went to care for him until he recovered. That alone shows how caring and concern I am about people who are unable to care for themselves. What I like about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to bring a smile on the faces of my clients no matter what moods they are in for that particular day. I go to an extended mile to make sure that their needs are met and that they are taken good care of and happy. One personal achievement I am proud of is being able to graduate college. Both my parents are illiterate and for me to be the first out of four siblings to go to college and graduate was a very good accomplishment for me. And with what I have learned and experience I will continue to strive in what I love the most; that is helping people.
I would be the best caregiver for you because I'm prompt, dependable, loving and caring but the best part of my job is seeing my clients smile... When I leave at the end of the day and my client are happy, I know I did my job... I'm no longer CNA certified but I have the experience and I guarantee you that the client will be in good hands...

I am a compassionate caregiver who nurtures a heart of service. Growing up, I've always wanted to help people. After volunteering at an assisted living center and a Memory Care Residence, I realized I'd cultivated a passion for working with the elderly. I decided to take a job as a personal care assistant at Kindred at Home, and that passion has stayed with me since. One of the things I enjoy most about being a caregiver is getting to know my clients. I love listening to the stories they have and the lessons I learn from them. They lived full and wonderful lives. So I feel the least I can do is assist them in whatever they need to get done.

I'm looking for an In Home caregiving position in California, Washington, Colorado, and Oregon to aide a smoother transition to the west coast. I have a warm compassionate nature to share and hope to offer my self to provide exceptional care that can be intrinsically aligned with humanity and empathy. I'm passionate about music, various mediums of art, self education, and working towards a saving goal to purchase my first home. I anticipate needing initial training and supervision as I grow comfortable with you/ your loved one and my role in providing the support. I've experience in housekeeping, preparing well rounded meals according to physician ordered diets, and communicate well with the elderly and those with progressive brain disorders. I feel care giving is a suitable role for me based on: - 3 years of dietary experience in a nursing home/ post acute rehabilitation facility - 2 years of assisting/ providing company to my best friend who provided her grandmother full time in home care in old age alongside COPD and mild dementia. - My mother is a nurse and I believe she passed down a heightened sense of empathy for others. My education experience in Public Relations has given the ability to communicate and quickly theorize tasks and processes. Through my education and prior work experience I'm confident that I can quickly learn and overcome any unfamiliar challenges that arise in the care taking process.
