One of the best qualities that I have as a caregiver is a sense of empathy. Whether I'm caring for a small child in a daycare or helping an elderly person recover from surgery, a sense of personal understanding and connection is vital. I understand the elderly may feel vulnerable, scared, confused and uncomfortable, and being able to identify and allay those fears can create a sense of calm and trust for those that I care for. Patience is also vital to the role of caregiver, I'm able to separate myself from potential anger and resentment and not take the situation personally, all while still providing high-quality care services. I can keep calm and soothe them in their time of distress or anxiety and being a a voice of encouragement. I'm reliable because I know that they depend on us and often feel a sense of personal attachment. I'm continually on time, particularly if administering food or medical care. The job of a caregiver is challenging yet rewarding. I do this because I am following a dream of helping others. Providing care to people, who cannot look after themselves, while maintaining their dignity, is an accomplishment in itself. I thrive helping people who cannot help themselves.
I am very patient and caring, which inspired me to be a caregiver, being helpful to someone who needs help but also care was something that I treated me. I like spending time with the patient as well as being a source of help, when is needed and I'm any circumstance. I make it my mission to bring a sense of comfort and joy to those around me.

After she recovered i be gained taking care of her learning different techniques to get her to eat, learning her diet helping her walk. At 18 i ventured out and be gained volunteering at a nursing home near by my neighborhood there i fixed patients lunch dinner breakfast i delivered it to there rooms, i got them dressed out of bed everyday took care of there personal hygiene. That is were i discovered I wanted to do this forever. Oh how humble this profession makes you and very mindful on how you treat others one achievement i am proud of during my years of experience is convincing a 80 year old woman to get out the bed and go out side to the park with me. You see she had not been outside as far as to a doctor's appointment for over 4 years. I stayed with her and cared for everyday I told her that going out side an seeing the birds and water was very soothing it took me about 20 times. Then one day she called me on the phone as i was on my way to her and she said take me outside today, I said sure but what changed she said a young lady that I know who has never let me down or lied to me said it would be worth my time.
