Empathy and compassion is what makes me a great caregiver. I started off at 16 years old taking care of my grandpa. Making sure he take his medicine, bath, and read him versus out of his bible. As I got older I knew this is what I wanted to do I want to help the elderly patients that can no longer do much for themselves. It's essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion, caregivers will let the person know that they care about them and want to do what they can to help and that's what keeps me consistent. I love to keep clients smiling and talking. I received my CNA license and went to school to study for my degree in Medical Administration Assistant of Applied Science. But somehow I just went back to CNA doing what I really love for 10 years and counting. Also have my BLS license through American Heart Association

I am currently a CNA at Riverside Doctors Hospital but am looking to get into Home Health Care. I have been a CNA for over 2 years now and love every moment of it. I have a lot of patience and enjoy spending time with people. I love being there for someone's love one when they can't be, but they know that they are being well taken care of and watched over.

I treat my residents like I would like my family members to be treated.I watched the caregivers that took care of my Dad during his final stages of life ..they were kind, loving and patient.and because I was there to witness this The lord put it on my heart to do the same, to give back and help others..he gave me the heart for it. I became a CNA because I enjoy helping others and find the work mentally and physically satisfying. I like getting to know the patient and learning about their life, some are quite the character! It is never dull and even with the repetition of routine there is always something different going on. I am proud of the fact I passed my state CNA exam on the first try, most do not so that was quite gratifying. I recently took my state test for medication aide and am now certified in that as well.

Hello ,my name is Monquisha but I go by Quisha I've been a CNA for 10 years now I have worked in home health, hospice and on a memory care unit. What got me into the health filed was I use to work in a facility in dining I had became so close to a lot of the patients that I was serving and it made me want to do more with the elderly. That's when I decided to go back to school for my CNA'S and I love the decision that I have made .
