I am very compassionate about this kind of work. I have 2 1/2 years of experience with working in a nursing home, assisted living home, and as a home care provider. My mother has been a caregiver for 20 years and so I guess it's in our genes to want to help people! I have a huge heart and I care about helping folks who need a little extra help or even just companionship. I enjoy building relationships with each of my clients. I think the most important part of this job is to listen and to be their support system and provide the best companionship as possible. I am proud that I have decided to choose caregiving as my career path because it's natural for me to want to care for folks. A few things about me that makes me an amazing caregiver is that not only do I believe to still give them there Independence in a safe manor but I also care deeply from my heart and try my best to always get all there needs complete. One thing that made me interested in being a caregiver was when I was 10 I used to go to my great grandpas retirement home and help out with everyone. I enjoyed it so much, seeing there faces when I would help with something or just sit and listen made me feel like I won a million dollars. When I first meet someone and they have alot of trouble with something, I help work on it and once I see the progress and smile on there face it makes me so happy to see them happy. That's all I strive to do is make it easier and happier for them . A professional Achievement I have had is that I have been a caregiver for 5 years and havent once had a horrible experience. I have gotten so much knowledge and have been through tons of experience I feel like nothing is too difficult for me to achieve. Seeing people and there families happy truthfully is an achievement itself.

I had always work with customers in a store setting. That just wasn't challenging enough for me. I wanted to do more, help more. I had an opportunity to take care of my grandmother when she became ill. It was the greatest feeling to be able to put a smile on her face while helping her. It just felt right knowing I was helping in a way that she was able to do by herself anymore. But with my help she was still able to enjoy the life she deserved.
