Why did you become a Caregiver? I became a caregiver to help and give back to the elderly the way I saw my grandparents work so hard to raise and keep me happy. What do you like about being a Caregiver? I love being able to help my clients still live an enjoyable happy life to the best extent they can. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? I'm very proud that I now can help take care my grandparents and show them what a great young woman they have raised me to be. Tell us something about yourself. Hi I am Natasha Paris . I am a very hardworking, punctual, respectful person with the gift of empathy. After caring for my grandfather with Alzheimer's and assisting him to dialysis for kidney failure , I developed a intense passion to help others. I cared for my grandmother post spinal surgery and truly felt fulfilled in this career. I have a bachelors degree in human nutrition, I practice yoga daily, and I am CNA in the state of Illinois. I've always had a passion for helping others and wanted to pursue a career where I could. I worked in veterinary emergency care for 2 years and decided to see what other career paths I could take. Recently I decided to go to school to obtain my cna certification but have let the time needed lapse to stay active due to my most recent pregnancy complications. Through school I was able to get some experience during our clinical hours at the facility. I enjoyed my time there and loved having the chance to be there, feel needed and was able to make things easier for the residents-even if all I did that day was enjoy a small conversation with an individual. I am always pursing options to better myself and my future for my family. My sons are easily my greatest accomplishments and teach me how to love unconditionally, have patience and to stop and enjoy the simple moments in our day.

Because I treat every person as if they were a family member. I love my job! I am willing to travel with in 20 miles of my home address. I love taking care of people. The best compliment I heard recently was "Thank you for taking good care of my sister!" this came from a fellow co-worker and it felt good to hear.

I love to help Seniors and Elderly as they become disable or frail due to increase in age. I have 10+ years of experience as caregiver, 5+ years as Live-in. I want to work as Live-in Caregiver or Long Shifts. Initially I was taking care at my home itself to look after the loved one. Later on it became my profession. Thanks to Madison Technical College who trained me to obtain my Certification as Nursing Assistant. I got my Nursing Aide License in 2009. My sincere efforts rewarded me as Employee of the Month during my health care career. It is a profession which include several work tasks, one cannot write in complete details, it may take lot of time and writing space. However, to name a few: Activities of Daily living, toileting, oral hygiene, bathing, skin care, nail care, dressing, meal preparation and feeding. In case of transfers: Hoyer lift, Ez lift, wheel chair transfers. Med reminders, errands and shopping. Doctor's appointment or recreational trips. Range of Motion and other instructed exercises if any. Light house keeping and laundry is also a part of the Caregiver's job. Time management, client's safety and security is also first priority to be provided to clients. Apart from physical support, emotional assistance is also important while providing care.

I have always been a caring and compassionate caregiver... I have been in the medical field for over thirty years and of the past all most six years I have enjoyed taking care of my clients in their homes where they can be comfortable with their surroundings...

I became a Certified Nurse Assistant because I understand how difficult life and decisions can be without basic support on variable mental, emotional and physical levels. I feel that is where my passion and dedication to help others roots from. In my early childhood, the relationship between my grandparents and I was unique and special to me. I would go above and beyond to be helpful around the house whether it was dusting, washing the car or even cleaning up the mess made by the fish my grandfather caught and cleaned for a meal. Many of times, I would just do without being asked. Ultimately, no matter what the duties were, it always gave me this great rewarding feeling inside just being helpful in making the day/night easier for them. Im proud of being able to extend my natural capabilities to anyone/ families who can benefit from assistance.

Having started out as a caregiver when I was in high school and continued on until I finish and completed with getting my certificate in Cosmetology, I have always enjoyed working with people that are more challenged and with the elderly. I have continually found myself helping people whether they need extra help in their daily living or a ride to the doctor. Having always doing the work as a cna I finally decide to get my certificate and hopefully getting more education in the medical field. Getting people more involved and aware of people who need help in many ways and recognizing those who do is who I have always been.Being able to help someone is rewarding whether it is helping in daily tasks,having someone to talk or listen to what they feel are important ,is a lot of comfort to those who do not have someone to share with. I feel as though I do a good job caring and listening. People need to feel safe in their own enviornment and have someone to help represent them when he or she cannot do so. I have personally been in this type of position and always remember those that had reached out to help me. It is very rewarding to know at the end of each day I have touch someones life small or big. It is important to give back and knowing I have done something helpful with a persons care,treatment and being respectful of their privacy
