I am a very organized and time oriented person. I care about my work and love what I do. It always been in my heart to help people especially the elderly. I love talking to the people I care for and hearing their stories and what they were like as teenagers. I believe my great work ethic and big heart makes me the perfect caregiver. I want to work as a caregiver for the elderly because I feel since they raised us and took care of us, we need to repay the favor when they are no longer able to do for themselves.

I'm very much a people person & highly empathetic. I knew I wanted to be a caretaker/Nurse since high school working as a volunteer in local hospital. I come from a family of caretakers so it's in my genetics. I've done many aspects of caregiving from rooming patients in local clinic to skilled unit in nursing facility & Alzheimer's unit. I love geriatric care due to the respect I have for the elderly. They've earned it for surviving through hardships I've only read about & learned in history class, which brings me to the fact that they have the best stories to tell if able to. I take pride in my care & the bigger the challenge it is with not so happy clients/patients I manage to get them to open up a bit & do my best to turn there frown upside down raising there spirits up. I welcome new challenges & learning about something new especially if it helps my care towards my patient. Dementia/Alzheimer's care is my specialty.

I have over 25 years of experience working in healthcare. I have worked in both hospital and long term care settings. For me, the greatest rewards have been the connections I've made with my patients. Sometimes just holding someone's hand or actively listening to their story can make an enormous difference. The care and compassion I can share is an honor and gives me great rewards.

Don't be deceived by my young age, I am a reliable young woman who takes pride in her work. I am known to be a kind, patient, positive, hardworking, and compationate person. I love spending time chatting with my clients, giving a listening ear or putting a smile on their face. My goal is make their day a little brighter and their family's life a little easier. I have many references that will tell you how dedicated I am to my work and the people that I care for. I've never smoked a day in my life and I have a reliable car that I bought last year. I pride myself on punctuality and organization but I am flexible when the need arises. I have had 5 years of homecare service under my belt, in which I gained experience I have experience in a wide range of situations and disabilities including alshimers, dementia, MS, after effects of a stroke, ect. 3 years ago I obtained my Nurse Assitant Certification (CNA) through the Red Cross. My mother was diagnosed with epilepsy in 1985. I became a caregiver in 1992. I wanted to always be able to take care of people who are sick. I enjoy helping others. i currently work with disabled individuals. When I come in to work, I begin to hear my name. this lets me know that they trust and rely on me. I enjoy fulfilling their needs and putting smiles o their faces. I am a mother of 6 children. i am planning to return to school to persue my career in Nursing now that my youngest is in college.

I'ma single mother who raised 6 girls. I got into the healthcare field to make a difference our older generations life, they are the ones who built this beautiful world we live in. I have worked with the elderly, vulnerable adults with psychological disorders and vulnerable adults with physical and mental disabilities.
