I'm very much a people person & highly empathetic. I knew I wanted to be a caretaker/Nurse since high school working as a volunteer in local hospital. I come from a family of caretakers so it's in my genetics. I've done many aspects of caregiving from rooming patients in local clinic to skilled unit in nursing facility & Alzheimer's unit. I love geriatric care due to the respect I have for the elderly. They've earned it for surviving through hardships I've only read about & learned in history class, which brings me to the fact that they have the best stories to tell if able to. I take pride in my care & the bigger the challenge it is with not so happy clients/patients I manage to get them to open up a bit & do my best to turn there frown upside down raising there spirits up. I welcome new challenges & learning about something new especially if it helps my care towards my patient. Dementia/Alzheimer's care is my specialty.

I became a CNA in 2011. I had a son with CP and that led me to being a caregiver. I feel it's a very rewarding job and I enjoy working and helping people with there day to day living.

I have been a Caregiver for over 10 years and have a wealth of experience in handling a variety of different cases. I am reliable always arriving on time. I am compassionate in doing my best to help people. I try to make the Residents as comfortable as possible in attending to their individual needs. Natural, I show compassion and empathy. I am passionate, and see the good in people no matter the circumstances. Living with my Grandmother was won't of the most exciting time in my life. She was fun to be with, and we enjoyed each other company and she taught me life lessons that has been applied to my life today. Being a caregiver, the client can rest assured that they can be safe and comfortable in their home and they will be provided the care a dignity, compassion and respect they deserve.

I have over 25 years of experience working in healthcare. I have worked in both hospital and long term care settings. For me, the greatest rewards have been the connections I've made with my patients. Sometimes just holding someone's hand or actively listening to their story can make an enormous difference. Families in Minnesota, FYI, just a heads up about the new Home care laws: Think twice before hiring a caregiver without the supervision of a licensed agency in Minnesota. The State of Minnesota requires any unlicensed direct caregivers (including Certified Nursing Assistants) to have a license...please be sure to check that this is in place prior to hiring them. I am seeking employment as a professional caregiver because I want to provide elderlies, infants and just about anyone with the best of care. When my grandmother was sick and was sent to the hospital, because of no health insurance coverage and no Medicaid, she was treated unfairly. I saw how vulnerable she has become. Due to many of the reasons that she weren't very well taken care of, in which has affected her mentally, physically, and emotionally. With this in mind, I took it upon myself to pursue Nursing as my passion and career choice to not only give elderlies or other such patients the best of care but also giving them back their dignity, confidence, independence, along with our welcoming arms and open hearts.
