Hi, my name is Cassandra but everyone calls me Cassie! I have helped take care of my grandfather, who has had dementia for over 10 years. When I moved away to school last fall, I began working as a direct care worker for a company, but found that I like private home healthcare better. My time with the two families I helped while away at school was amazing, and I was sad to leave them when I returned home for summer break. I have worked extensively with dementia patients, and I have experience with patients who have MS. I am very compassionate, patient, and hardworking and I truly care about the people I help. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that each person I help teaches me something new, and I love hearing their stories and learning about their lives.

I am a very loving and understanding person, a good listener for both the patient and family members. I'm quick to learn what to do and not to do. As a 17 year old I am very well mannered. What has attracted me to become a caregiver was watching my older friends and family members who were caretakers, take their love and help families through a difficult time period. I most enjoy spending time with older ones and listening to their life stories it's always fascinating and sometimes funny. My favorite personal achievement would be receiving my CPR and first aide certifications.
I am seeking care giving opportunities to fulfill my passion for helping others. I'm honest, reliable and full of compassion. I've always felt like I should provide to those who need me, I enjoy the feeling that I've made a difference in one or more lives daily and that's a huge reward. My most proud achievement has to be having a caring personality still in this world we are losing to terrible things, and learning to work with behavioral health individuals

I became a caregiver because I'm a very giving person and I enjoy helping others and what better way is there to help others then to help take care of someone that can't provide for themselves. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the fact that I get to help someone everyday and not because I have to but because I want to. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is going back to school and graduating as a Medical Assistant. I graduated as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2005, So I have been a CNA for 9 years now and I went back to school and graduated on December 11, 2013 as a Medical Assistant, and I'm a responsible, dependable, and a very caring person.
