Hello families! My name is Kaitlyn, but I prefer Katie. I'm 28 years old living in Phenix City, Alabama. I've been in the Customer Service/ Hospitality/ Caregiving field for 10 years! It all started when I was 17 years old. I had an Aunt who was diagnosed with brain cancer. She was put into an assisted living facility and I got a job in food service so I could spend as much time with her as I could. Even though I was in dietary, I was her personal caregiver on my off time. I was with her until she went to heaven, and I don't regret one second of it. I learned so much from her that I fell in love and found my calling in life. I LOVE THIS CAREER! It's a good feeling being able to help those who can no longer do it themselves. Families usually get a caregiver because everyone works, and can't spend all that time missing work. That's why you need someone you can trust, and know your family member is safe and happy! I'm currently going to get my nursing degree, so I can do more for my community. One of the big reasons I think I have thrived as a caregiver is because I'm a very outgoing and caring person. I care about everyone else and make sure they are happy. I put them before myself. I'm always smiling and laughing, which makes my patients happy. I'm a very open person as well, which makes it easier to talk to families! I definitely love being a Caregiver I've been doing that for about 20 years the families I work for loved having me there I understand very well about taking care of there love ones I'm very understanding I'm always on time I'm never late to be there when they needs me I'm so proud that I'm very good at being a Caregiver I will take care of them just like I would do my own family I pray that someone would give me a chance to take care of there love ones and I definitely looking forward to be there when they needs me Thank you so much

My first aid job was with STAT Medical Services, which was an oncall staffing agency. Through them, I worked with several nursing homes. I've also worked some private duty. And I'm currently employed with Glory Hospice and Palliative Care.
