I am a very compassionate person who enjoys making others laugh and smile. I love to make people feel understood and accepted. This position seemed like something that I would be a good fit for based on my personality and the needs of the clientele. The thing that I enjoy about being a caregiver is being able to help others. A personal achievement that I am proud of is working on my masters degree and being a year away from completion.

Caring for people comes second nature to me.I am very reliable ,trustworthy and patient as well.Helping others gives me joy, especially when I've worked with them and they reach certain goals.Im well aware of how challenging a caregivers job can be but I'm up for the challenge!

I became a Caregiver in 1989 for my grandfather who had heart disease and emphysema. I do my best to make a individual care plan for each patient. I was blessed with a 23 year old special needs daughter. I am honest and reliable.

I became a Caregiver due what my grandparents went through and I will love helping someone else that is need. What I like about being a Caregiver is that your in the nursing field, and helping those that are in need. Plus they feel special and a little emotional due to they have someone than family helping them. Some patients don't have no one to help them through their ruff times of need, and that's my personal achievement that I am proud of. I love my personality because people notice the care that's on the inside and out. I'm willing to help and give to people that needs me sometimes even if they don't need me im always there. And I know how it feels to be in need when you really cant do nothing for yourself, because I couldn't walk for 2 months due to I fractured my pelvic bone. I was very emotional so to know there is someone out there that ill care for you makes you happy.

I have always been told I have a sweet, compassionate, and caring personality. I have an uncle who is on 24/7 oxygen, a walker, and needs assistance getting to doctors appointments. I also have a grandfather who is blind and needs assistance with medication, appointments, and exercise. I want to be a nurse so naturally a caregiver position is ideal. I will hopefully be doing online studies at Jefferson state this fall. That will allow me any schedule to be able to be a proper caregiver. I enjoy helping people I want to help those who can't help themselves. I was a member of FCCLA, BETA club, and year book in high school.

My name is Savannah Hicks. Im 23 years old. I've worked as a caregiver for 4 years, 6mths in a nursing home 3 & 1/2 in a hospital. I chose to become a caregiver when in college trying to decide on my career path, I wasn't sure if I wanted to be a counselor or a nurse so i decided to do some volunteer work at a nursing home. I ended up getting a job there & fell in love with caring for others. I've seen & dealt with a lot in the short time I've been in the medical field. Its taught me a lot about myself & my knowledge has grown. I hope to one day be able to afford to go back to school become a nurse. I'm a single mom of a 18mth that keeps me on my toes & makes me even more greatful for this beautiful life God gave us both. I'm more grateful & compassionate to be able to take care of others because unlike most people my age I know what it's like to have to let someone take care of me. Long story short I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when my son was 7mths old, I had to have 2 different surgeries & undergo radiation. I'm now in remission & couldn't be more thankful to have the rest fo my life to spend with my beautiful little boy & serve others. I pray everyday for God to mold me into the person hes called me to be, & help bring other closer to him. Caring for others is definitely one of my callings in life & I'm more than happy to be seeing others.

I enjoy helping other people that can no longer help them selves. They can be funny at times and there's times you cry with them. They become your family. I enjoy being with them and learning different things. My greatest acheivement was when I saved a resident from chocking when I worked for Chapman Health Care.

Care giving is my absolute passion. There's nothing I wouldn't do for my patient/friend. I took care of my father for 10 years until he passed recently. I have also worked with other patients who became my best friends until one passed and the other is using my aunts help for now since he needs hospice. I cook, clean, grocery shop, take to dr. visits, make sure they always have their medication on time, I bathe them, dress them and ANYTHING else they need. I am 33 with a husband and a daughter who's in school. I'd love more than anything to find a new patient to take care of ASAP.

The love for taking care of the needs and wants, the passion for being there for someone when they have no one else my top goal was becoming the coordinator at chandlers and I enjoy being the go to person and being part of teamwork
