Being a caregiver is my life purpose.

Hello my name is Crystal Lawson. I was born and raised in a small country town. I was raised to respect my elders. I also have a soft spot in my heart for anybody that can't help themselves. I treat people the way I want to be treated.

I have found that my passion/calling is to care for the elderly and/or individuals, who can't do so for themselves. My heart is overwhelmed with genuine happiness when providing care and/or maintaining a personal relationship with each resident, client, and/or patient. I sincerely love fulfilling my heart's desires & passion by providing care, love, companionship, friendship, and even medical care to individuals; resulting in them having a sense of peace, as they go through life changes and having to deal with situations that may be unfamiliar. I find that doing so & providing the utmost respectful care to each of them, brings forth a growth for even myself, as I continue my education into becoming an RN (later to bridge into Nurse Practitioner). Daily, I am seeking the latest knowledge and skill so hopefully I can improve my care traits daily, to a wider/higher demand of clients. I am most definitely proud of a personal achievement in my life pertaining to my husband (who was diagnosed with late stages of Testicular cancer twice)! After receiving a prognosis of 18 months, I decided to further my education & resources, in hopes to find more options....and I did! After nearly 2 years, he is now in remission & cancer-free! This is not to boast about what I did, but instead the 'determination, drive, & passion', that I was blessed with. I will ALWAYS go above & beyond in providing the best care for clients & their family members! I believe there is always room for growth and in order to do so, you must first humble yourself to what you were called to do, whatever that may be!

I want to treat people how I would want my mom or grandparents to be treated

I became a caregiver when I was 12 years old. My best friend was diagnosed with MS and MD at a very young age and she happened to be 64 years old at that time. We bonded immediately and talked daily. One day we were attending our weekly meeting at our place of worship and her usual caregiver could not be found. She needed help going to the restroom, I volunteered to help and I did everyday until her death at the age of 69 on January 31, 2013. I am blessed to have had the greatest connection and friendship that guides me in everything I do. She was a supernatural, phenomenal woman . She taught me how to smile, be kind and to love unconditionally. She is the reason my kindness never fails or crumbles. I am proud that over the years I have made many more friends and have learned such valuable lessons by just listening and observing my elders.

I have a very bright and bubbly personality. I am very attentive to my patients and my work. I'm dependable and availability is always open and I am willing to travel anywhere to help. I became a caregiver when my grandparents fell ill. I took care of them until I was no longer able to. I enjoy being a caregiver because I enjoy helping. Whatever the task may be I am always ready to help out and get the job done.

I very much enjoy the work I do. It makes me feel like I am making a difference in the lives of the individuals I care for. I actually talk and listen to what they have to say. I believe I am blessed to sit there and listen to the back in the old days stories. At the end of the day it gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I became interested in caregiving when my 65 year old friend, Tommy, got throat cancer and I had to take care of him 24/7 for about a year, before he passed. I love the elderly and hold them at the highest level of respect.

Hi, my name is Samantha Green I'm 23 years old. i have 2 kiddos. I graduated from gadsden city high school in 2017. I have been working in caregiving for 10 years. A family member of mine got hurt in the military when I was 13 and I started learning and working with him and my aunt daily to make a lil money. I have became so passionate about my love and care I have for all my patients, I want them to be treated as if it was my family member in the situation. I am very honest, dependable, hard working, loving and caring. I love everything I do in my job and I enjoy it. I want to continue furthering my career in the healthcare field.
