I am a caregiver for 26 years. I am a loving and compassionate caregiver. I am working with elderly for more than 20 years and four years with adults with developmental disabilities. Performed my tasks, to assisted residents/ individuals their daily activiites, exercises, daily walk, bathing toileting, remind thier medications. Housekeeping, laundry, and accompanied clients to thier appointments.

I became a cna because my great grandma who raised me became a diabetic and had to have both of her legs amputated. I was around 11or 12. She learned how to walk with new prostetics and her walker. Also I had to administer her insulin at times. She passed shortly after I turned 18. I dedicated my life to her.

( completed all 4 Covid vaccinations on 4/15/22 ) Registered Nurse for 26 yrs- ER, Surgery, Hospice, Home Health, now retired. Case manager for home care agencies for 7 yrs, I now offer private consultation as well as hands on care for Activities of Daily Living, Companionship, etc. I am very familiar with elder care/memory care, Including but not limited to, Dementia/Alzheimer's. I am also familiar with Parkinson's disease and medications. Extensive experience with catheters, feeding tubes, Hoyer lifts, etc. I have lots of experience with end of life care. I can offer training/education to caregivers and/or family. I can attend doctor appointments to keep Health Care Team and family informed. I can handle medication administration, reminders, refills, etc. I will monitor for medication efficacy/ overall condition and contact MD if any issues arise. What makes me a good caregiver would be I'm very compassionate I'm honest caring loving and I love to help people what push me into the medical field I volunteered for a year-and-a-half with my grandmother until she moved to Sacramento and I like what I did so I went and got my CNA I'm a certified CNA and that's the accomplishment that I am most proud about

I have worked in the healthcare field the past 4 years; I absolutely love it. I have worked in a group home, ISL(individual supported living), nursing homes and psychiatric hospital, ages ranging from 3-100. I worked as a CNA at the nursing home, helping with bathing, grooming, transfers, toileting, changing and person hygiene. In the ISL, I worked with disabled clients, helping with their everyday need. I would provide transportation, assist with house cleaning, administrating meds, personal hygiene and community skills. I Thoroughly enjoy working in the healthcare field and plan to attend college to get my RN degree. After graduation I would like to become a behavioral health nurse. I love being able to help people with things that they are no longer able to do.

i became a caregiver because at a young age my grandfather passed away from cancer seeing the nurses and caregivers come and go helping him out made me want to return the same favor. i enjoy care giving because i get to hear stories from the past and i get to have a bond with the client and family as well but i have to keep professional. i also worked for schools as a teachers assistant working with students with disabilities so it encouraged me to look into care giving , and knowing that im giving back and helping the family out. my personal achievement im proud of is that i dont give up with what ever obstetrical comes my way and i keep moving forward. i enjoy being with my family and loved ones spending quality time together and just having fun. i enjoy cutting hair mens hair and im looking to get into barber school some time soon.
