I started caregiving over ten years ago and found out that helping other people In there time of need and to make them as comfortable as possible was what I wanted to do in life. I'm very responsible, attentive and reliable. You can contact any of my former clients or their families and they will all tell you that I become family. I've worked with Child care, autism , Alzheimer's, dementia, cancer patients, stroke and the elderly. I take them to doctors appointments, physical therapy, grocery store. I do light house keeping. Prepare all meals. Medication reminders. I assist with all bathroom needs.

I have tremendous empathy, patience and respect for each client. I treat each one as I do my father, whom I have been caring for the last 7years.Before caregiving, I managed restaurants for 23 years. I have ALWAYS been a customer service focused person. I wanted to make a change that fulfilled my heart. The thing I enjoy most about my job is assisting people with retaining their independence and self respect, even with a disability. Everyone needs to feel productive, like they contribute. The personal achievement that I am most proud of is that in the last year I have gotten my dad into the best mental, nutritional health that he has been in in the last 30 years.

I love being a caregiver I derive such fulfillment from helping others in need. Providing care to other's is not a job it's a calling. The wisdom and knowledge that the elderly has to offer is extraordinary and it's my privilege to care for those who need care. I am a natural advocate. I am passionate about everything I do in life. And I love making people smile. I chose caregiving because I am in school for healthcare; I love science and my emphasis is epidemiology. More than anything I love to hear people's life story, I feel caregiving provides the bridge to form a special trust, and experience another person's life. Caregiving enables me become more familiar with empathy, and to more intimately recognize the reality of the human condition.

Being a Caregiver is really natural for me. I have 3 years of CNA work experience . That was my first job after H.S and loved it! I did take a Medical Assistant course after that and have been in that position for about 15 years. I missed being able to have a more closer relationship with people and being a Caregiver I get to do just that and more.

I have compassion towards the elderly and children most especially those who are in need of help with their daily activities. My first experience as a caregiver for the elderly was when my sister and I took turns in taking care of our 83-year-old mother. Moreover, I am confident with taking care of kids because I raised my own three boys (they are all adults now). Aside from being a caregiver, I am active at our church being part of its ministry. I am a good team leader and also good at following instructions from my supervisor. I am good at organizing and I always see to it that my client's room and kitchen are clean and tidy.

I have always been a loving, compassionate person and love to take care of people. I have a 93 year old mom and see the challenges elderly people have and how most of them do not have any help. I am presently taking care of a woman with dementia. She is in a board and care and has very little stimulation. I have been reading to her and she does understand and we can have limited conversations. Since I am stimulating her she is more responsive and making sense. She is a bright person who has been frustrated by not having someone to talk to her and show her tender loving care. She is really make lots of progress. I have always enjoyed people and know I am a loving, caring person with lots of compassion. Worked with dementia patient walking and talking. Worked with stroke woman who needed help with speaking, reading, walking, doctors appointments, managed meds, errands, transportation. Worked with Senior with Dementia to assist with daily chores, errands, doctors appointments, shopping and transportation

I became a cna cause i love helping people. I think what makes me a cna is i am very caring and i treat everyone around me how i would love to be treated. Helping others makes me happy. I am a very reliable person
