Compassion and diligence are two things that I pride myself in when referring to my role as a nurse. Being a caregiver comes naturally as I am a mother and nursing was something I always wanted to pursue. Improving someones quality of life gives me a sense of fulfillment that is unlike any other profession.

I have more then 5 years of experience working as a CNA and a live in caregiver for home care agencies and have worked in nursing/retirement homes as well. Dependability, reliability, kindness, empathy, calm nature are few of my strongest traits in taking care of my loved ones. I grew up with my grandparents and naturally we take care of our own as it is a cultural thing. I love being around seniors and assist in whatever way I can as they remind me so much of my grandparents who lovingly took cared of us. Making them smile and making them feel comfortable makes me feel complete and happy.

I take my time to find out the exact needs of all residents. I have empathy to get to know all my residents to get a close bond. What attracted me to be a caregiver is when my grandmother got very sick and I was the only one willing to help her for 2 years. I got really into it and enjoyed what I did. I realized I didn't want to just help my grandmother I wanted to help other people as well. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the bond I make with each resident and knowing they're getting the proper care when I help them, and providing them with a happy and comfortable life. The personal achievements I'm most proud of is knowing my family and other families appreciates my help and kindness when leaving me with their beloved ones. About myself I am 28 I had my first job as a caregiver at 17. I have 4 years experience with the I.H.S.S. program and 1 year in a assisted living facility, Sierra Manor which specialized in Alzheimer and Dementia patients. Within a short time I was promoted to a Med Tech, a position in which I totally fell in love with.
