I became a nurses aide because I once was a full time Single mother to my special needs daughter (cerebral palsy and quadriplegic). I am a natural nurturer . I have been a certified CNA and Caregiver for 17 years. I earned my High School Diploma in 2006 and also went to Goodwin College; majoring in Human Services with a GPA of 3.59. I am also CPR, First Aid and meds certified. I love and enjoy working with the elderly and not so elderly. I enjoy listening to their stories and wisdom and their understanding. I like to treat people the way I want to be treated. I also have respect for everyone's culture, religion and sexual orientation. I also treat people with kindness, respect and dignity.

I believe that my expertise is treating each one of the clients as how i would want to be treated with respect and to know that they matter. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my great grand mother who live until she was 100 years old. Caring for people, i love it when i can see a smile. Learning how to care and be patient with others.

I'm very understanding and punctual , and treat people like people. I have respect and can understand boundaries , personal space but also reach goals that need to be reached. I started doing caregiving after my great grandmother passed. She was completely independent and ended on hospice so I learned it all starting with her and when she passed I missed that feeling of helping someone and the joy I brought to them. I'm proud of the women my grandmother raised and how she never needed for anything as long as I was around.

My level of expertise is like no other; Effortlessly, I always go above and beyond for my clients. Ever since the age of five years old when my Mom asked me what I wanted to become and my answer was "Mom, I want to be a Doctor because I want to take care of old people and I love them" and of course she laughed. Years later I ended up in numerous occupations, but at the end I found my way back to nursing (smile)- Need I say more? It gives me great pleasure to listen to the elderly. Moreover, their stories are precious and rare each unique experience that "cannot" be replaced (priceless commodity) and most importantly the joy and knowledge it gives me deep within (humbled). Looking back on all my choices I can honestly say that I have no regrets; Especially, since it has mold my life and made me who I am today. My mother would have been proud of me when I achieved my licensed (CNA) and knowing that it does not stop there since I was already enrolled in a nursing program in College and eventually I will go back since I took a long break after she passed. In conclusion, I love what I do and work for me is (never) work since my passion is caring for the elderly (smile)-
