I have worked in the school district as substitute teacher for four years. Before that I worked as a private Nanny who also did home care work with other family members in the households. I have worked a lot with children with disabilities as a home care giver and as a para professional in the school district. I ran errands, planned schedules, answered phones, took kids to and from activities, and provided meals, helped with toilet training, and bath time. I have also worked with older family members which has always been enjoyable for me. I would drive them to and from where they needed to go, help with groceries, give them medication, laundry, assisted with feedings and other needed things around the house.

I believe I am a good caregiver because no matter the circumstances I'm here to help in any way , shape or form ! I became a caregiver at the age of 14 my father is disabled veteran so since then I've been by him and my moms side taking care of him with her ! I've always had a hunch for helping others especially elderly people ! They really are the sweetest and most times just like having company! My goal as a caregiver is to ultimately help others in anyway I can !

I see myself as being patient, kind, energetic, willing to learn, always asking questions, planning ahead, quick learner, compassionate caregiver. I remain calm during critical decisions, ability to help maintain comfort in my clients during accidents or incidents. I am looking for light housekeeping and companion work only no heavy lifting at all looking to stay in the Hudson Route 52 New Port Richey area I won't go to Holiday and I'm going to go to Spring Hill just the local areas and if it's local it's like $10 an hour instead of 15 I have my own vehicle background check went through okay I don't drink smoke or do drugs and I drive I also do pet sitting for seniors

As a staff nurse, I cared for mostly senior clients at a VA Medical Center for two years in Acute Care, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Nursing Home, and Palliative Care settings. I also have experience in long-term Acute Care and Hospice Care. I recently completed a two-year nursing and care-giving assignment for an elderly gentleman who had chronic and progressive neurological disease, diabetes, renal failure, cardiac issues, hemodialysis, and home peritoneal dialysis. I was with him nights, Monday through Friday, from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. My care-giving responsibilities included personal care, toileting, bathing, dressing, transfers, assisting with ambulation, driving to medical appointments and social activities, medication management and administration, meal preparation, eating and drinking assistance. I worked with a team of female caregivers in the household, providing comprehensive and personalized 24-hour care. The other caregivers are also currently available for work as a team providing superior care around the clock, or as otherwise needed. I naturally enjoy fostering caring and the therapeutic relationships. This is something I do naturally, something I have done all my life, something essential to who I am. My happiness comes through helping others be happy. I consider it a great privilege and sacred duty to be able to help people through some of the most difficult times of their lives. I became a Respiratory therapist when my mom was diagnosed with COPD. I am blessed that I love what I do and changing patient's lives. I do not give up where others have and been part of miraculous results. One example is a MSD patient, long-term ventilator dependent of Assist Control being off vent during the day and out of bed. The medical director said it was impossible but earned trust for all future recommendations. I have improved compliance from 45% to 95 % with therapy. My friendly outgoing personality puts patients at ease which is vital in successful outcomes. I am passionate, determined, creative, loyal, reliable, positive and get along with all ages and from all backgrounds.
