I have worked in the school district as substitute teacher for four years. Before that I worked as a private Nanny who also did home care work with other family members in the households. I have worked a lot with children with disabilities as a home care giver and as a para professional in the school district. I ran errands, planned schedules, answered phones, took kids to and from activities, and provided meals, helped with toilet training, and bath time. I have also worked with older family members which has always been enjoyable for me. I would drive them to and from where they needed to go, help with groceries, give them medication, laundry, assisted with feedings and other needed things around the house.

Relocated-- I am a Survivor of Hurricane Ian in Ft. Myers, Ft. Myers Beach, last year, Sept 2022. I was drawn to the Ocala area through a friend/associate offering respite or whatever I needed and became enthused by it all here. I'm now a homeowner so have been busy with early repairs, upkeep and then a new roof. As a staff nurse, I cared for mostly senior clients at a VA Medical Center for two years in Acute Care, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Nursing Home, and Palliative Care settings. I also have experience in long-term Acute Care and Hospice Care. I recently completed a two-year nursing and care-giving assignment for an elderly gentleman who had chronic and progressive neurological disease, diabetes, renal failure, cardiac issues, hemodialysis, and home peritoneal dialysis. I was with him nights, Monday through Friday, from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. My care-giving responsibilities included personal care, toileting, bathing, dressing, transfers, assisting with ambulation, driving to medical appointments and social activities, medication management and administration, meal preparation, eating and drinking assistance. I worked with a team of female caregivers in the household, providing comprehensive and personalized 24-hour care. The other caregivers are also currently available for work as a team providing superior care around the clock, or as otherwise needed.
