I have worked in the school district as substitute teacher for four years. Before that I worked as a private Nanny who also did home care work with other family members in the households. I have worked a lot with children with disabilities as a home care giver and as a para professional in the school district. I ran errands, planned schedules, answered phones, took kids to and from activities, and provided meals, helped with toilet training, and bath time. I have also worked with older family members which has always been enjoyable for me. I would drive them to and from where they needed to go, help with groceries, give them medication, laundry, assisted with feedings and other needed things around the house.

As a staff nurse, I cared for mostly senior clients at a VA Medical Center for two years in Acute Care, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Nursing Home, and Palliative Care settings. I also have experience in long-term Acute Care and Hospice Care. I recently completed a two-year nursing and care-giving assignment for an elderly gentleman who had chronic and progressive neurological disease, diabetes, renal failure, cardiac issues, hemodialysis, and home peritoneal dialysis. I am attentive and responds to situations in a timely manner. A patient, especially the elderly, needs constant care and attention. It's my job, therefore, to be attuned to those needs even if the patient doesn't or is unable to communicate them. I have a passion to help others. I come from a family of healthcare professionals.
