What i like the most about caregiving is the ability to treat those as I would want myself to be treated in time of need. I find that with compassion, good listening skills and trying to understand and empathize with my clients not only does my client feel loved but learn that they can work towards a goal, increase their independance or have one that will help meet my clients needs . I find it extremely rewarding personally and always find new friends and family along this path.

I wanted to be a nurse from time I was 8 yrs old and soon as I finished high school went into medical profession and feel I have a positive and compassionate personality . I have over 40 years experience with many letters of reference and awards as a caregiver such as employee of month/year. I love caring for others especially dementia/Alzheimer's as my grandfather was such a person 40 years ago. I love giving people a chance at a Good quality of life no mater what their diagnosis,Hold the hand of a person as they are slipping away and being a comfort to their family because caregiving is caring for family as well in being supportive. I remain like family to all my past clients family. My best achievement is making a time in someone's life which is hard better because I was there. I am CPR/first aide certified and have a level 2 background check. I am Covid Vaccinated since May 17,2021 with proof.

My attributes that I think will be helpful and positive in this field are numerous. I love the geriatric populace. I love to take care of people. I love to lend a hand whenever possible. I love to make people happy and always strive to maintain a positive attitude when the going gets tough. I have had many difficult patients, angry and rebellious attitudes to contend with and so far it has helped in the medical field. I don't find personal hygiene and tasks of a more uncomfortable description as daunting. I love a challenge and don't mind cleaning and organizing. I am accustomed to giving medications, scheduling appointments and relaying information confidentially to family members that are concerned. I have been CPR certified and Medical Assistant certified up to this past year when I stopped working to move to Florida. I have a son with respiratory issues, so am familiar with inhaled medications, antibiotics and many medicines in the oncology and family practice field. I am also certified in yoga and have taught yoga for several years specializing in medical conditions like cancer, stiffness, balance and coordination issues. The reason I became a care giver is because of my mom who became sick with cancer and could not afford home care. At that time I quit my job to take care of her. The things I like about being a caregiver is taking care of people regardless of their needs, and their family can still have a life out side of home. My personal achievement is that I'am in school for applied health science which is medical office management. Which means I will work right under the doctor and over the nurses, but I want to manage a nursing home so I can help stop the abuse in those places. I'am a mother of 8. My husband has 4 and I have 4 so are house is really full, but it dont really bother us at all. I love to work and help people that need the help.

I am very patient and caring, I love people. I have really enjoyed working with the mentally challenged, but really don't want to work full time. I feel I am a good caregiver in many ways because I truly care and enjoy people. I'm very down to earth and easily amused. I worked with seniors for 10 yrs. I am a certified HHA. I should be a CNA but was not able to pass the state board testing here in Fl. I am going to give it another shot, I passed the written but failed the clinical testing due to a minor error. I took a CNA pep course and feel I'm very qualified, but just don't have that piece of paper. I am looking for P/T work in the St. Augustine area. I have lived here for 3 yrs. I lived in Jacksonville for 20 yrs. I raised my children there and they are still there, as well as my grand daughter. I hope to here from someone soon who needs some assistance. I have many years of experience with senior care, professionally and unprofessionally. I am a Diabetic and have been for eighteen years. I enjoy caregiving so much because I am a empathetic person and feel as if when someone else hurts, I hurt and I am driven to help as much as I can.
