I am a very experienced healthcare worker. I have over 25 years as a professional CARE GIVER, CNA, CMA, and LPN. I love working and helping people in many capacities. It gives me great pleasure to help others. I am proud of my experience and the willingness to always learn more. I first took care of my Great Aunt when I was in high school. She was dying from cancer. I came home after school and went to her house and would spend the night. I cooked for her, helped her get ready for bed and most of her cares. I miss her greatly, but she gave me so much more than a job. She was family and we loved each other. I bring that same kindness and sense of love to those I care for now. I am looking forward to continuing this as your care giver.

Hello, My name is Christina. I've been a caregiver for just over 10 years now. I love my job. I love getting to know someone on a very personal level and trying to make life alittle easier, if only for a little while. I've always wanted to work in the medical field. After getting some wisdom from some family that had been in it for many years, I decided to start with my Certification for nursing assistance first. I've done facility and private care for many years each and love the impact that I have had and equally received from my patients. I've done almost every skill that you can think of, from driving to doctors apt. to staying over night for end of care, and everything in between. One of the things Im most proud of, in regards to caregiving is becoming 'part of the family'. I took care of my father and grandfather in there last months of life. This is what gave me the desire to become and caregiver. I love being able to help clients be able to stay in their homes and provide the championship they may be needing. When covid first hit I did around the clock care for one client until she passed cause she had no family members.

I worked with 5 nurses and 1 doctor for 10 years, then went on my own for 13 years and am still working. I tended to Hospice patients and their families. Personal care and whatever family needed done . Changed linen, did hair, shaved men. My patients were rejuvenated after care. I never let one patientlose their dignity. This care gives me purpose in my life. It has taught me to live life well and take nothing for granted. My work is my life. I just love careing for people, and di any errands for family or let them know they could go run errands while I am taking care of their loved ones. It gave them a much needed break and knowing their loved ones are in good hands with me. I am a Clinton native and everyone knows me. I also saw patients in surrounding areas and Illinoise. Would love to teach Hospice care to aides. What I do you cannot learn in a book. I have so much knowledge, if I dont do alot of Hospuce I would love to have new aides carry on my knowledge and use it as they work.
