My life is built around love and compassion. I have worked in healthcare for 17+ yrs, with some of my my most memorable moments in elderly care. I have worked anywhere from, home health, hospice, memory care, assistant administrator, etc. I have spent the last 5 yrs as a stay at home mom raising my children. I love working with our elderly community because they have lived and know a life, we will never know. I love to listen to their history, how they were raised, and see them through different eyes. Laugh and smile with them. They were once young just as you and I.

I am an upbeat caring person, I got into care giving because it was something I have done for a few family members and I am good at what I do. I enjoy meeting new people, we all have such interesting stories of our lives, I am dedicated and dependable.

I am currently attending college to further my education in Nursing. I have always loved helping other people. I am a very trustworthy, compassionate, and great companion. In the meanwhile of finishing school, I wanted to care for others.

Working with people in a home care. Or residental setting can be challenging but also rewarding at the same time. To be s successful caregiver it not only takes book smarts but a few essential qualties only certain people have that makes them stand away from the rest. I posess the following qualities and that is why I feel I stand out from the rest. it is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion i am letting my resident know that they care about the person and want to do what they can to help them. Make them feel important and at that moment the most important. Patience. Is a virtue many do not posess. When you work with someone who is depending on you to help them with things they can no longer do it is important that you are patient and understanding. It helps to sometimes put yourself in the other person's shoes and see what it might be like to ask people for help. When a person is rushed that is when mistakes happen and injuy and accident occur. I am someone that can be counted on to be there. If I says i am going to be there to provide cares every Thursday morning, then inwill be there every Thursday unless there is an emergency. Those needing home care services need a reliable and dependable caregiver. Trustworthy. Most people need care services are in a vulnerable position. They are inviting someone into their home/room to be near their valuables. A good caregiver is someone who is trustworthy in this regard, as well as in being trusted to keep the client's information confidential. Flexible. As with most things in life, home care needs may change and unexpected events can happen. A good caregiver will be prepared to go with the flow, being flexible, so that they continue to provide good caregive, even if a rigid schedule isn't being followed.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm very empathetic, understanding, caring, loving, patient and pleasant to be around. I always prioritize my clients feelings and needs, and listen to them no matter what. What attracted me to caregiving was that I could make a change in someone's life, and make it a little simpler, even if that's putting their needs before my own, It's really everything to me! What I enjoy most about caregiving is that I'm able to listen to and empathize with my clients, but also make them smile! I would have to say my greatest achievement in caregiving is the ability to give people a happy, good quality life for as long as I'm able to!

I'm great with people; I love interacting with them and making them feel at ease. I'm committed and tenacious, never give up on a task or obligation. I want to do more, be more involved with patients and what better way than being a caregiver? None. I'm proud of where I am today, and where I am headed. I could only dream of accomplishing what I have now a few years ago, so to see that I'm achieving what I set out to do is remarkable.

I'm a very easy to get along with others, with a great personality person. The love for my lord and helping other is what attracted me to do for others. making a difference in their lives is what makes me be proud to be a caregiver....im proud of making our seniors enjoy life to their fullness....Making then feel love, care and independent .
