I love helping people in need, regardless of how little or big the issue. I have been a Caregiver since the age of 10 when I started babysitting. I am patient, caring, a good listener, compassionate and just enjoy helping people live an easier life. I have a somewhat goofy personality, I like to joke around and sometimes be silly, but I'm very good with the elderly. I'm very kind and understanding about them not being able to do things on their own or that they may take a little longer. I don't rush them. And they tend to appreciate that. I decided to be a CNA in 2002 because I was tired of working as a waitress and needed a better paying job to support my children, but I also enjoy being around elderly people and talking to them, learning about their lives, what they did for a living, their families and I LOVE looking at their old pictures and helping them walk down memory lane. I think an achievement I'm proud of is paying 50,000 dollars cash for our house. My husband got a settlement and that's what we did with it. My PERSONAL achievement that I'm proud of is of course my children but also being able to survive the death of my 5 year old daughter and to be able to tell parents how important it is to keep medications locked up. There's a lot of things I'm proud of in my life, way too many to list here.

I have a good personality I show no judgment I think what makes me a good caregiver is that I really truly do care and my patience are going through enough obviously that at the end of the day and their happiness and they're once that's what matters I really enjoy, putting a smile on my patients face and not making them feel ashamed about anything and it's also important to make a good relationship with your patient as a caregiver as well.

I believe that people are a gift, I have an ability to bring the best out in people. I am able to listen and be able to tell my own stories to help people relate to me. I wanted to become a caregiver because my grandmother was in a nursing home and I saw how badly most people treated her and I wanted to be a person that others could count on. The biggest thing I enjoy about caregiving is the stories I learn, I love hearing about others lives and that even with the bad they still turned out good. My biggest achievement has to be, being a CNA at 16, and changing the lives of many people in doing so
