I am a very loving person that will treat your family memeber exactly how I would treat my own, with the same love and care. I have such a big heart for those that need help, and especially for working with geriatrics. I love to help others grow and to help themselves and to show care when others haven't.

I am an outgoing individual, so it helps me connect with residents easier, I am not just a caregiver, but a friend as well to my residents. I wanted to become a caregiver because when my grandmother was ill I always wanted to help take care of her and assist her. I enjoy helping people who are unable to assist themselves anymore. It makes me feel good knowing I can make a difference in their lives.

I have extensive experience in wound care for pressure ulcers and skin disorders. I am very easy going and patient and know how to help with mobility. I see so many people that either have no one at all or have people that cannot do the caregiving. It is not for everyone. what I enjoy most about caregiving is seeing people treated with dignity and like they matter, and not a burden. I am most proud of the fact that I was able to keep my Dad at home, and let him go peacefully at home, instead if a hospital or nursing home.

I graduated high school with my CNA license and shortly after started my first job at Hardinsburg Nursing and rehab center. It was extremely stressful but very rewarding. I learned a lot from not only my co-workers but the residents I looked after. This job gave me the opportunity to further learn about medical issues and how I could help ease the pain or simply take their mind off of it. Shorty after leaving this job I started working as a caregiver at the BeeHive homes of Grayson county which is an assisted living facility in Kentucky. The BeeHive was a much more positive environment and allowed me to grow personal relationships with the people I cared for. The BeeHive is half the size with double the manpower which allows the caregivers to take breaks and actually get to know who we are caring for, their life story, their family and so much more. I love working with my residents because when I have some life problem I'm telling them about they have all kinds of wisdom to share.

I love to care for individuals who cannot care for themselves. Caring for disabled gives me satisfaction that I have helped someone who couldn't do it themselves. I have cared for an individual who had a stroke and could not even get up by themselves. They could not cook for themselves. Gave me an honor to help them. I am a very compassionate loving person. I have a heart that goes out to help people.

I am a single mother of 2. I am a hard worker and love helping others live a normal comfortable life.
