I am a mother of 2, I also just adopted my foster daughter and my 5 month old grandson . I'm a DSP worker for the state . I work with adults and children with disabilities. I love spending time with my children and sisters . We go bowling , drive in movies and freeman lake for family time .I'm looking for a family for long term care , I enjoy helping others and learning new techniques and religions I'm the oldest of 7 so caregiving has been apart of my life for awhile . My over all goal is to open a residential agency . I became a private caregiver due to previous experience, such as working as a CNA in the past , some rewarding but working as a CNA under others I come to realize that other providers may not have the same passion as you and is only there to receive a check . I have decided to become a caregiver at this point in my life because I have been caring in one way or another in my jobs whether it was in my restaurant jobs to my previous personal caring of individuals. And have cared for a man who was hit by a drunk driver and broke his right knee and left arm, he needed 24hr care and I cared for him for almost 9 months before he was able to do for himself again. After that as short time later my husband received a chemical burn on his foot which covered his ankle down to almost his toes. He underwent 3 skin grafts and I learned how to clean and bandage those wounds to keep him from getting an infection. I also worked for a lady whose husband had a major stroke.
