I am a mother of 2, I also just adopted my foster daughter and my 5 month old grandson . I'm a DSP worker for the state . I work with adults and children with disabilities. I love spending time with my children and sisters . We go bowling , drive in movies and freeman lake for family time .I'm a busy woman but with the right clients and constant schedule I'm able to take care of myself family and clients. I always been a caregiver since I was two , I'm the oldest of 7. My over all goal is to open a residential agency . I became a private caregiver due to previous experience, such as working as a CNA in the past , some rewarding but working as a CNA under others I come to realize that other providers may not have the same passion as you and is only there to receive a check . I'm more passionate due to be being raised in the foster care system

In 2019 my grandmother was diagnosed with bladder cancer, shortly after her starting chemo she began to get extremely sick. During this transition me and my mother were her caregivers. We performed all of her hygiene needs , medical needs and gave her the companionship and comfort that she needed. She passed away August 22nd of 2020 which led me to want to become a caregiver and care for those that were in her shoes.

This has been a Passion for me, since before I've gotten into the Healthcare field, i was taking care of my Grandmother before she Passed, i love what i do. which is to be able to help , love , care, and support other's like as my family.

To be a caregiver it really takes a kind heart filled with compassion. You have to treat people basically as if you wanted to be treated. I always say what if that was my grandma or my relative , how would I want them to be treated and you go from there. I believe I fit the role for this job because I have the qualifications it takes. I've had experience and I know the ropes to it.

I've been taking care of people since 1998 and is very rewarding you meet people from all types of life from middle-class to riches...... missing people hard to get with and I'm missing people that had beautiful hearts this part of the job I feel like this is my calling one of my callings to take care of people and I need even if it is being there they last breath the first person I ever took care of what's my step grandmother and I was 11 years old just being there until my grandfather came home and I've done it for the whole summer did she passed away at the end of summer but she also preparing me for her death and I didn't cry cuz she told me not to to be there for everybody else but I cried later so I really enjoy taking care of people we have to respect each other I respect people homes like that my own and I would like to have that respect back not disrespecting each other with language a physical ways I just love to be there for a family and help them ease their hearts and their pains knowing they have someone there they can trust to take care of their loved ones
