I am generally a happy person who likes to keep busy. I feel that if you can do something now to make your tomorrows better, you should. I became a caregiver for a family member suffering with cancer. As her disease progressed I fould that I was good at managing the details of her disease and helping her gave me comfort. Making her life less stressful and ensuring she had the level of care she deserved made me happy. Hearing her stories and learning from her was one of the great experiences of my life.

Being a caregiver is more than a job. It is a passion. It is important to me that we give back and take care of the elder generation. I have always loved helping others and being a very outgoing and caring person, this has always been a great job for me. I have pride in the work I do. Hello! I am a 21 year old caregiver born and raised in Danville, Kentucky! I am a mother to a 1 year old as well as a nursing student. I will be finished with nursing school in June of 2024. Growing up , my father was always hospitalized due to heart complications which introduced me into nursing , and I consider it 2nd nature. I am 25, going on 26 years old, I have a very old soul & I'm a social butterfly! & what helps me take care of my clients the best is the fact that I treat EVERY ELDERLY PERSON THAT I WORK FOR, as if they're my own grandmother or grandfather!! What attracted me to caregiving was taking care of my paralyzed great aunt at 16 & feeling like I was finally useful, like I finally had a purpose... I felt it was my calling.... what I enjoy most about caregiving, is the fact that I'm helping someone else live their best life for the rest of their days! I enjoy feeling useful and/or needed My biggest achievements are my two very beautiful children..... everything that I do, is out of love for my children.... I am a Certified Nursing Assistant since 2015. I have 20 plus years of experience in caregiving. I am COVID vaccinated. 1. Friendly, loving, very caring person. I enjoy sitting and listening to their life stories. I enjoy helping them feel important and loved. 2. I took care of my father until he passed, then I started sitting with a lady from my Church. After that I sat with another lady whom I met through friends. I sat with her probably a year or more. 3. I like to make them feel good about themselves, give them love and attention. 4. My greatest reward was for taking care of my father and getting compliments from his doctor and nurses on the great care I gave him.

I love being able to help them when they need the help. My heart is ta,ing care of those who have taken care of us.

I treat my patients/residents like my own family. I know what it's like to try and find good care for a family member and how stressful it can be. I also know how I would want my parents cared for If I was needing care for them so that's how I try to look at anyone I care for. I thoroughly enjoy helping others in all aspects of my life. Whenever I can show someone I care who didn't think anyone gave them a second thought. It's an awesome feeling when you develop a relationship with the person who's always hateful to all your coworkers. It's not caregiving related but I repelled down the big blue building in lex a few years ago. One of the most insanely awesome times in my life!
