I became a caregiver because I have a great passion to care for people. I love putting smiles on people's face in which is a healthy therapy for people I care and work for.

I love making a different in the lives of others.after taking care of my grand mother i developed the ability to care for people in need.When I came to the state in 1985 this was the job I acquired and I have being doing it ever since.I had worked in the nursing home setting,,hospital, and private homes. I have a positive impact on my client I smile a lot I'm open to communicate with my client, listened to there concern encouraged them making decisions if the can and to involve them in there care plan.i give ADL care, good hygiene,,cooked, do laundry, serve there meal but if client needs assistance with feeding I will do it. I do client shopping, take client out for recreation, make drs' appointment and take them to there appointment, medications remainder,or administered medications, reports any concerns to family member who is POA.It rewarding when you see your client condition is improving.Care giver job is rewording when you bond with your client and the built trust in you.

I have been a Caregiver for both young and old for over twenty years, and now that I have earned my Certified Nurse Assistant certification from Hagerstown Community College, licensed with Maryland Board of Nursing as a CNA (license #: A00190777) and am soon to be registered with Maryland Board of Nursing as a Geriatric Nurse Assistant after having passed the state exam. I am ready to help more clients experience competent, compassionate, and overall excellent care.

One of my personality traits is when someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. I've always had a soft spot for seniors and wanted to make a difference in their lives. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in my attention to detail. One of my greatest achievements is doing a 15 week nursing contract away from my family a lot.

I started as a CNA info 1994 working in a nursing home and the hospital. I went into this profession because i want to take care of people that can not take care of themselves and their families are unable to. I am very compassionate about the work that I do. The people that I have taken care of over the years i have treated with the same respect and dignity that i would want for my family. I love what I do and get great pressure taking care of others.

i became a caregiver because i have a great passion for this job, i love assisting elderly people with their activities of daily living, i always love to challenge and endulge myself in several situations.
