I became a caregiver because I truely care for the elderly and others who need the extra help. I have 30+ years in home health care with the last 12yrs specializing in spinal cord injury, ventilator, tracheotomy, wound care and hospice. I also have hospital experience, as well as, working with the Alzheimer, dementia, and mentally disabled. Along the way, I also had the pleasure of picking up the ability to learn and communicate with American Sign Language. I am passionate about my career because I love meeting the needs of each client I come in contact with. They teach me about who I am and Why I love my career and able to do what I love to do. I am available Monday through Friday. I prefer 24 hr shifts. Willing to travel up to 2 hours aways for longer shifts.

What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I have a huge compassion with helping people. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is the happiness you can create as well as not only sympathy but the empathy towards the elderly past or current life situations. I really enjoy creating a bond by listening to there life stories and taking care of them because it helps not only themselves but the family I love to see people smile and to help them make there day the best that it can be. An personal achievement I'm proud of is when I worked in multiple homes or facilities that I have had nothing but compliments for example a man that suffered from a strokes wife for Christmas gave me a gift and card one year thanking me and let me know that when I come in the room my smile and happiness lights up the whole room. Made me feel I was right where I belonged
