Hi, my name is Autumn McClendon and I always had for helping people in need. What made me start wanting to help seniors was when my grandmother fell very ill to cancer back in 2006. Ever since then she has made constant trips to the hospital because other health issues with her heart. My cousin and I try to cook healthy meals for our grandmother and make sure she goes to all of her appointments. This is a good example of why I would be a perfect match for this job. I am fully capable of making sure each client has taken his or medication, making sure they eat, helping the clients get dressed, bathing them, and most important making sure each client is enjoying their day.

Hey my name is April I have been a caregiver for going on 10 years I absolutely love helping others. I have tons of references. I am a Certified Nurse Assistant CNA and I'm also CPR and AED certified. I'm married and have 3 beautiful kids. We currently live in Sumrall and go to First Baptist Church.

I try my best to make sure my patients are 100% happy and healthy. What attracted me to caregiving was that my grandmother was diagnosed with copd and I took care of her. I was really disgusted at the way her home health nurse treated her, and from that I decided that I would become a CNA. I don't want anyone being neglected or abused like my grandmother was. What I enjoy most about caregiving is seeing my patients smile. A personal achievement of mine that I am proud of was getting my CNA license.

I became a Caregiver because it's always been in my nature to help people. I knew when I was very young that I specifically wanted to work with the older population. I enjoy my job because it allows me to interact with my residents/patients, I learn about them and their lives, and most importantly I get to help them, and I personally love it. Recently, I had a group of CNA students who we're shadowing me. When their clinicals were done, they all got together and got me a card saying how appreciative they were for all my help. I took that to heart because it made me feel like I helped them by showing them the proper protocol to giving great patient care. I'm a 22 year old mother of a very energetic 2 year old. As all of my jobs have required working with the general public, I'm a huge people person and I get along with just about any and everyone. I love cooking, reading, sudoku puzzles, and planting different flowers, vegetables, and herbs.

Old people are my favorites. I somehow connect with them more easily than anyone else. (Not kidding...weird right?) I have professional and years of non professional experience as a geriatric caregiver. I helped both of my grandmothers through the end of their lives. My dad's mom passed at 96 in 2011 and my moms mom passed last Christmas 2017. My professional experience working as a CNA at a nursing home for 6 months was important and amazing but too much work for anyone I know, really. I learned so much and made the deepest of connections with people that no one else seemed to talk to or listen to. I got my CNA certification in high school from a 2 year vocational class so I'm likely more knowledgeable than the average Nurse Aide as this class lasted 2 hours per day for 2 years. (They want me to pay $40 to do the background check)

I always wanted to be a caregiver. Taking care of people has always been a major thing in my life! My mother and grandmother took care of people since I was small. I grew up seeing new people. Seeing the smile on their face is priceless. Some have no family and I just want to be that caregiver where I want to treat them like their family. It doesn't matter about your race,color,none of that. I enjoy listening to their stories and I enjoy making them feel good and making them smile.

I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for 9 years. I have experience in nursing home and home health. I have great passion in this profession wanting to help people. I show great empathy and compassion towards my clients and their family. I enjoy working with people and mostly enjoy jobs were I have one-on-one interaction with others. Some clients become lonely or sad , but a great caregiver can help them change their mood for the better. Each and every day.. knowing I provided the best quality care for my clients, is a great achievement!
